Please consider that young physicians, often graduating medical school with six figures in student debt, are being asked to sign contracts with 20-30 mile non compete clauses by hospitals and corporate employers.

These highly trained professionals are then forced to either relocate or stay on with employers that then have free rein to subject them to onerous work conditions, resulting in either burnout or the physician leaving the community. The only winner here is the corporation.
