Mexico is going back home after getting eliminated from the U-17 World Cup and the Japanese players gave them a special farewell shortly before they left the hotel.
This is the most wholesome story of the year. 🥺
“Viva Mexico y Viva Japon”. 🇲🇽❤️🇯🇵
My issue with Indian cricket grounds.
We have the money, more than anywhere in the world
We even understand hospitality, in our homes, & in our hotels which offer amazing service.
Why can't we offer the best on-ground experience?
Watching live cricket in India is a punishment.
@KenScott2510 Enjoy the sun, Ken! 2022 was definitely unique for everyone including those working on the event -- when else would you be able to see the operations live across venues on the same day!
On Oct 3rd, every year since 2017, we celebrate 'gaping hole' day.
The story is that a prominent news channel sneaked in a camera team into Jawaharlal Nehru stadium to prove that the preparations for the FIFA U17 World Cup 2017 were far from adequate.
Desperate to prove their point, they shot the steeplechase water pit on the athletics track and identified it as a 'gaping hole' in the track 🙂.
I am not sure what it told us about the FIFA U17 World Cup, but it sure told us something about them
Congratulations to the @UzbekistanFA and all strategic safety & security stakeholders of the Govt of Uzbekistan for achieving this crucial milestone for #FFWC Uzbekistan 2024.

Story that caught my eye: Neeraj Chopra’s mother’s simple but profound words: ‘gold jiska hai woh bhee hamara beta hai!’ Salute your true spirit of sportsmanship. No wonder ma’am you have produced a champion like Neeraj. Contrast Neeraj’s mum grace with the abusive RW twitter army! https://t.co/pewQE70ji3
Remember listening to a similar interview by Callum Hudson Odoi about the atmosphere at the VYBK Stadium in Kolkata during the FIFA U-17 World Cup India 2017. Such a special venue with special fans.
🏆 “If I ever get a bit bored, I’ll watch that game back!”
🏴🌟 @ManCity star @PhilFoden still thinks about THAT #U17WC Final with @England nearly every day...
On the 16th of May, 6 years ago, we launched ticket sales for the FIFA U17 World Cup. The person handing over that 1st ticket was one of the biggest stars of world football, Barcelona's Carles Puyol. But the person who got that first ticket was what made it really special.
@joybhattacharj In our undergrad days, we secretly called him Hagrid for all the obvious reasons. He was always witty, kind and extremely likeable. Hard to believe and hard to accept.
@joybhattacharj Ten years ago, I was standing on the edge of the field when the winning runs were hit. The giant podium that you celebrated on that night was assembled by over a 100 men in a matter a few seconds. I was one of two people coordinating that operation that night in Chennai.
This is something that's sorely lacking in world football today -- a genuine connect with a club and an extension of identity. This is something quite rare.
🗣️ Miedema: "I want football to mean something to me. I feel like for me, winning titles with Arsenal will mean a lot more to me than winning them with another club at the moment. Being part of a club for so long you obviously get that lovely feeling towards the club as well."
