“Apni marzi se detain nahi ho rahe hai, le jana hai toh barbarata se le jao.”
Neha Bora refuses to sugarcoat the reality of what is happening.
More power to her
Gandhi said do not obey an illegal and unjust order.
Sir, the imposition of curfew to obstruct a peaceful democratic protest is illegal and unconstitutional.
You cannot arbitrarily suspend Article 19 freedoms.
Delhi Police needs a refresher course in the constitution and the law
Following the illegal orders of the government is not your job.
Gentle reminder to @DelhiPolice , we are citizens of an independent country and you and the government is accountable to us and the constitution.
Neha Bora is not giving up. What a leader. What I have seen at Jantar Mantar road today is genuinely so inspiring. She just keeps going. Delhi Police tried to detain her multiple times and failed every time. I will write a longer post about her later, but for now, just this: respect.

The police has “started detaining reporters and anyone standing on the roads here”.
Gandhi Jayanti in New Delhi - sorry - new India or “fake new India” as @svaradarajan put it
If a person goes to the election commission and submits 200 forms to delete the names of voters, the EC doesn't ask - how did this person, who is not part of the official election machinery, determine that these 200 people should not be on the roll? Would anyone really spend their time going door to door to find such a thing, document it and bring it to the EC? Or is it more likely that this is a fraudulent attempt to disenfranchise a targeted set of people?
In our system, this kind of submission is 'permissible', which is itself foolish. But is it not also criminal to make such submissions, especially without the knowledge of people being deleted? @DKShivakumar's protest yesterday was on target to point this out. But why wait for the EC, which is anyway compromised? Those submitting such forms should be charged by the police too @PriyankKharge
