The destruction inside Karura Forest continues. Friends of Karura call on KFS to stop immediately and explain their plans. Thank you to @citizentvkenya@Eastleighvoice for highlighting this crisis. #SaveKarura
The best decision I made today was to have lunch here instead of my favorite restaurant in Nanyuki. I should have met this place earlier because it's stunning and their food is delicious. Meet yet another newest addition in Naromoru.

⚠️ Update: Network data show #Bangladesh has now been offline for over 48 hours after authorities impose a nation-scale internet shutdown in a bid to quell student protests ⏱️
The blackout continues to hinder human rights observers and independent media at a critical time.
Repeating for those hard of hearing;
JUST BECAUSE A MOVEMENT IS LEADERLESS DOESN'T MEAN IT'S DISORGANISED
And stop trying to disparage the people's new way of reimagination just because the old way is all you know. While you sit in dismay, We the sovereign, are moving.
Guys amplify those images and videos of doctors holding a vigil at https://t.co/qXFYQZUnlK tomorrow morning Nakhumincha should be home!!
#OccupyMOH#Postmedicalinterns
Why are we Occupying MOH?
1. To demand MOH to post medical interns and remunerate them as negotiated in the CBA of 2017.
2. To demand MOH to do away with SHIF. If MOH says that the issue with NHIF is accountability, then why are they introducing a new scheme, why not strengthen the issues around accountability?
3. To demand MOH to employ healthcare workers. Our healthcare facilities have not met the prescribed WHO ratios and many doctors remain unemployed.
4. The coordination of the national and devolved units have been stymied. Perhaps intentionally to stifle health service delivery, we are demanding that the functions of the two units on healthcare be well defined to enhance health service delivery.
5. Increased budgetary allocation for healthcare to enhance healthcare infrastructure that will enable early detection and more effective treatment.
The list is long, these are some of the issues, so join us today medic or non medic because these issues eventually affect you.

Nothing new under the sun!
In 2011, during the Egyptian Revolution,
Hosni Mubarak hired goons (baltagiya) to attack protesters. But the people eventually won. Mubarak resigned in 18 days.
They continued to protest, both online and on the streets. #RutoMustGo
