Saw an old couple downtown today. Something about them seemed wrong. But then again, they were emblematic of thousands of boomer couples I had seen before. What was it?
Then I started to see it.
They were wearing nearly identical clothing: ball caps, large T-shirts, jeans, and nondescript sneakers. But the similarities didn't end there. They carried themselves the same, too. Though they differed in mannerisms and personality, they shared some specter that couldn't easily be described but was clearly seen.
Though the blossom of beauty fades in time, we've all seen a graceful and feminine granny—if only in an old movie. But my man Gerry was 45 years married to an almost-man. He wasn't accompanied by a ginger lady, but waddled along astride a slightly manlier gait than his own. He was not graced with a gentle hand on his arm and a soft question here and there. Instead, a gruff, grunting Judy kept complaining about his incompetence to fellow patrons of the shop where they wandered about in mild frustration.
They weren't the only ones sporting this historically novel presence. I began to see clones of Gerry and Judy everywhere. It occurred to me that I haven't seen a graceful granny—hair in a bun and classy dress—in a long, long time. Feminism poisoned America a long time ago, and in ways we'll still be realizing for decades to come.
I felt bad for Gerry. He'll never know what it's like to be married to a woman. Doesn't realize one of the chief sources of his discontent. It must not remain so.
Golem 1.3 is coming out next week. 👀
We completely re-invented the interface, allowing you to create agents with simple code-first patterns. ❤️
In this new post, @dvigovszky gives you a sneak peek at what's coming--let me know what you think! 👇
I am nailing Nine Theses to the door of @Wikipedia. This has been my project for the last nine months. There has never been a thoroughgoing Wikipedia reform proposal—this is the first. If it doesn't work, we need to organize an alternative. 🧵
This is the reality of a Brit card 🇬🇧
Funny thing is people will think this is absurd and is just A.I fun, but this is highly likely to happen down the line.
A wonderful way to wrap up 3 of the most intense days of any event I've been involved with. 😅
Developers are going to love the combination of entertainment and education we're packing into the pilot season of @theultcoder. 🎬
Now time to recover in beautiful Spain! 🇪🇸
Some of you supported woke cancel mobs, not due to malice, but because you thought it was right.
If you can see how wrong this was, and commit to civil society now, then you should be fully forgiven, regardless of politics or religion.
Time to open a new chapter in tech. 🕊️
It's never the contributor who wrote a million lines of code trying to cancel the one who fixed a typo.
It's always the bitter & envious trying to cancel the stars.
If you're not blind, this tells you everything you need to know about open-source cancel campaigns.
In Spain to shoot @theultcoder and eat paella! 🎉

@fwbrasil Funny how they say there is no bias and they choose to stay neutral. So neutral that they fire @propensive (or strongly “encourage” him to leave), cancel John from a conference, to start with…
