"AI is teaching your kids 5 things"
AI IS SLOWLY TEACHING YOUR KIDS THESE 5 THINGS. YOU NEED TO BE AWARE OF IT.
Nobody sat down and taught them this on purpose. That's exactly what makes it dangerous.
CPTSD is:
• saying sorry for existing.
• over-explaining because you’re afraid of being misunderstood.
• struggling to ask for help because you were taught your needs were too much.
• feeling like love has to be earned.
• constantly scanning for rejection or abandonment.
• people-pleasing until you’re empty, then resenting it all.
• feeling like an alien in your own life.
You’re not broken. You’re surviving something that was never your fault.
As a somatic practitioner and C-PTSD survivor, I have a little trick I use when my psyche suddenly gets pulled into a trauma state, and it’s inspired by EMDR.
Keep your head straight. Look to the left and wait for a yawn. Then look to the right and wait for a yawn.
Works like a charm every time.
PTSD: something terrible happened to you.
Complex PTSD: something terrible WAS your entire environment, and you had no choice but to keep living in it. There was no escape.
I never understood the whole “if a tree falls in the forest and no one is there to hear it, does it make a sound?” Of course it makes a sound. Does sound only exist when there are people around to hear and witness it?
It feels like such a human-centered argument that ignores the reality of nature and the universe happening all around you, even when you’re not there to experience it.
Respectfully...moms that get regular breaks, can drop their kids off at grandma's to go run errands or on a date night, or even keep them overnight are living a completely different version of motherhood than those of us who don't.
You ever watch somebody's entire personality come alive when they're finally around people who don't make them feel fucking stupid for being excited about shit? That's beautiful to me.
CPTSD AND THE VOICE IN YOUR HEAD THAT NEVER LETS YOU OFF THE HOOK
SOMETIMES THE HARDEST PERSON TO FEEL SAFE AROUND IS YOURSELF.
You can make one small mistake and immediately start attacking yourself for it.
Why did I do that?
Why am I like this?
I should have known better.
It’s not just guilt. It can feel like you’re constantly putting yourself on trial.
tbh i don’t understand why suicide is always seen as wrong. if someone feels like life has become nothing but pain, why should they be expected to keep suffering through it just because other people want them to?
I’m on vacation. I got drunk last night & called my bosses and told them I quit. I get a call from them today saying “are you sober now? When are you coming back from vacation” 😂😂😂
@delonperc Even more insidiously, he specifically created this diagnosis to undermine the hostages' criticism of how badly the police handled the situation. It was created to protect the police.
