e3ª: electrification x emotion x ecomune
And before the trolls come out claiming WWS increases prices, the data show that more WWS correlates with lower electricity prices.
But more fossil fuels correlates with higher electricity prices.
More nuclear correlates with higher electricity prices.
More biomass correlates with higher electricity prices.
This applies to the world

❗️Nine more Russian shadow fleet tankers struck in the Sea of Azov last night!
That makes 21 tankers struck within 72 hours: 19 shadow fleet tankers, 1 bulk carrier and 1 ferry.
That is beyond impressive!
Virunga National Park is pleased to share a historic milestone: the Bageni family twins, Uzima and Urithi, have turned six months old — the first mountain gorilla twins in Virunga National Park to reach this age.
Thanks to months of close monitoring by our field teams, both infants are developing well and taking their first steps toward independence. Their mother, Mafuko, remains close by and attentive.

‼️‼️🔥🇺🇦🇷🇺 BIG | Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces just wiped out another nine Russian fuel tankers in the Sea of Azov, bringing the total to a staggering 21 vessels neutralized in just 72 hours.
🔻This isn't just a series of strikes; it’s a systematic, industrial-scale strangulation of Russia's logistics. By targeting the fuel artery feeding occupied Crimea—simultaneous with a massive blackout campaign across the peninsula—Kyiv is effectively putting the region on life support.
📍Moscow’s inability to protect its own "shadow fleet" in its own backyard is a humiliation that speaks volumes about the state of their rear-guard defenses. While the Kremlin tries to play down the damage, the reality is that the logistical backbone of their southern occupation is snapping. If Russia can’t secure these tankers, they can’t fuel their war machine in the south. We’re witnessing a masterclass in asymmetric warfare: why fight on the front lines when you can simply turn the enemy’s supply chain into a burning liability?
We signed a Drone Deal agreement with Denmark. This is already Ukraine’s ninth such agreement, and it is important that more and more partners are joining this format, which opens up greater opportunities for joint defense production, the exchange of expertise, and transparency in weapons exports. Together, we are building a new security architecture. I thank Denmark, and personally Mette, for this step toward strengthening our shared defense. It was with Denmark that we began joint production in Ukraine under the Danish model, and it is absolutely fair that Denmark will now have access to Ukrainian exports of weapons tested in war.
Today, we also discussed with the Prime Minister @Statsmin the strengthening of our air defense and work on European anti-ballistic defense. It is extremely important for us right now to receive Patriot missiles as quickly as possible and to jointly develop our own European capabilities to counter ballistic threats.
I thank Denmark for its continued support for our people – for its defense and financial assistance, and for all its contributions to the PURL initiative.

Xi Jinping announced a complete end to China's support for Russia and issued a firm public demand for Russian forces to withdraw from Ukraine. For the first time since the full-scale invasion began, China officially and publicly condemned the Kremlin's actions, shifting from diplomatic neutrality to direct confrontation with the Russian regime.
This statement fundamentally changes China's position in the conflict. The largest economy in Asia now officially describes Russia's war against Ukraine as an act of aggression and calls for the restoration of Ukraine's territorial integrity. It also includes ending the large-scale purchases of Russian oil and gas, as well as halting supplies of microchips, electronics, machine tools, and dual-use components that are essential to Russia's defense industry.
Military and political analysts say that Beijing's public move could trigger a domino effect within Russia's political establishment. According to them, Russian elites, oligarchs, and military leaders understand that without China, sustaining the war would become virtually impossible, as Russia would quickly run out of the resources needed to produce and modernize its weapons.

Spanish PM Pedro Sánchez:
Spain may be geographically far from Russia and the Eastern Front. We are also far from the Middle East. But we are very close to our allies, and we are close to the values and objectives that inspired the creation of both the European Union and NATO.
We are a peaceful nation - a nation committed to peace - but we are also a reliable ally.
We fulfill our capability commitments, we fulfill our deployment commitments, we stand by Ukraine, and we fulfill our responsibilities on NATO's eastern flank and in the Mediterranean.

Ukraine is giving a fully justified response to Russia striking our country and prolonging the war.
Today, our long-range sanctions reached the Saratov region, Tatarstan, and Bashkortostan – roughly 800, 1,400, and 1,500 kilometers from the front line. They also reached the Voronezh region – about 300 kilometers from our border.
I thank the warriors of the Unmanned Systems Forces and the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine, and our intelligence agencies for their accuracy.

Russians must feel that their state is waging this war. I thank everyone who helps defend Ukraine!

Australia now makes so much solar power that at midday its electricity is worth less than zero, so the grid has started giving it away.
Roughly one in three Australian homes has panels on the roof, the highest household solar rate in the world. About 4.3 million systems pour power into the grid every sunny afternoon. When they all peak together, there is far more electricity than the grid needs, and the price crashes.
For the first three months of 2025 the price of power on the national market sat at zero or below 18 percent of the time, according to the market operator. In Queensland it went negative 66 percent of the time during daylight hours in one quarter. Negative prices mean the companies making the power actually pay to get rid of it.
A new rule, live since July 1, gives households up to 24 kilowatt-hours of free power for three hours in the middle of the day, roughly a day's electricity for a five-person home. It runs in New South Wales, South East Queensland, and South Australia, and you need a smart meter to opt in. You still pay a daily connection fee, plus normal rates for anything outside the window.
Follow the money and the generosity fades. At midday the grid holds more solar than it can use, so it would rather you run the dishwasher, the pool pump, or charge a car than switch the panels off. Queensland already throws away more than a quarter of what its big solar farms make on sunny days. Free power mops up the flood.
The other side of the deal is the evening. Solar disappears at sunset, everyone comes home and turns on the oven and the air conditioning, and prices jump as gas power stations rush to fill the gap. Every load you move into the cheap midday window is a load pulled out of that pricey evening peak.
The same flood has slashed what solar owners earn. The rate you get paid for sending your own power to the grid has halved to about 6 cents, while the price you pay has doubled to 29 cents. In July 2025 New South Wales became the first state to charge solar homes a fee just for exporting.
Three free hours a day sounds like a gift from a country swimming in sunshine. It is the cheapest way for the grid to swallow a flood of solar it never planned for.
