The @SandstormIO community is participating in @_FundOSS, and we'd love your support. Their quadratic funding model means small donations can get a *big* boost from the matching fund, so every bit counts! https://t.co/O04vkhBDjd
Sandstorm contributor @ocdtrekkie has been working diligently to bring vagrant-spk -- Sandstorm's package-creation tool -- up-to-date. Today we're announcing the release of vagrant-spk 1.0: https://t.co/oWris7QLkK
Sandstorm Oasis (Sandstorm's paid hosting service) will be shutting down at the end of the year. We looked at it, and it just makes much more sense for people to be self-hosting at this point. We added a mass transfer feature to make it easy to switch. https://t.co/rYnYBLrtLM
Sandstorm Oasis is currently down because our upstream hosting provider, @GoogleCloud, has apparently run out of compute resources in zone us-central1-f, which is where all our data lives. I didn't know this could happen, and I am currently investigating what we can do about it.
@wickedlogic@skgsergio@googlecloud Yeah we aren't hitting any quotas. We have 8 instances, and we've had those same 8 instances for months. AFAICT from the logs, Google actually stopped an existing instance and then wouldn't let it start up again due to being out of resources.
We weren't happy about discontinuing the Oasis free plan. But, on the bright side, Sandstorm has reached cash-flow-neutral as a result: https://t.co/4RUNZ9Ugyl
