All these important things we as educators teach and encourage yet we use assessment that doesn’t always show ones true ability, knowledge, skills and understanding. Maybe it’s time to rethink assessment. #ACUedu_p

It is important that, student desks are set in a way where no student has their back to the white board. Also, a calm corner is great for students to sit at if they get upset about a situation at school, until they feel better 🥳 #acuedu_P

A simple but effective acronym to assist teachers when managing difficult students! Something as simple as ending/starting the day with a high five🖐, handshake🤝or fist bump👊 can make a huge impact on students! #ACUedu_p

A simply morning routine for kindergarten:
A morning circle! Students sit in a circle, pass the ball to the student sitting near them, say Good morning and state their favourite food, animal, fruit etc.

High risk assessment plays a vital role in ensuring children are kept safe throughout a lesson.
However, it is important that when activities may “involve” high risk, teachers are assisted by another adult to try and prevent any form of injury!#ACUedu_p

When creating a marking criteria, we have to ask ourselves “is the wording appropriate”.
One way to approach this for a junior class, is through using child-friendly words:
I’m not quite there, I’m getting there, I’m nearly there, I’m almost there, I got this!”
