@HowardGertler Finally saw it - speaks so eloquently to the power of art and activism to right wrongs, even when our institutions fall remarkably short. Plus, what a portrait of a remarkable woman and life lived out loud. Congratulations.
Wonderful to see three generations of the Sobrato family @Sobrato_org facilitated by @NicoleTaylorSV of @siliconvalleycf. Great family story and legacy out of Silicon Valley presented at the Nat’l Cntr of Family Philanthropy conf. @familygiving#NCFPForum2022#legacy#change

Getting an MA in Education made so much sense back when I was getting my MBA and first aspiring to do social change work. Honored to be in the company of @JIMSEDU and others in this Stanford article highlighting the success of that unlikely dual degree program.
Bringing the GSE and @StanfordGSB together to create Stanford's MA/MBA program in ed & business took "a lot of will" and overcoming reservations says Michael Kirst, who launched the program in 1969. But it continues to prepare strong leaders in education. https://t.co/UxTW8I0hyG
@Bob_Wachter@katiehafner FWIW, my experience was almost identical - Bay Area resident, got Covid in late April, took paxlovid, symptoms improved, missed our son’s graduation but aside from sleeping 10 hours/night and fatigue, felt fine. Testing neg for 10 days but still having intermittent symptoms.
The #ClimateCrisis touches every form of life on the planet. We recognize the clear and present danger that the climate crisis poses, and we're grateful for the opportunity to support this important fight while the window of opportunity is still open. #EarthDay
Loving listening to Marlene Sanchez on @KQEDForum. @Sobrato_org had the pleasure of learning from @ellabakercenter on our staff retreat last week. So important to prioritize young leaders and voices of lives experience in this work.
Last week, we hosted our 2-day staff retreat with @TheUnityCouncil to learn from community leaders in the Fruitvale community in East Oakland about models for effective community development. And there was an exciting special appearance from Mayor @LibbySchaaf!
“You cannot uneducate the one who learned to read. You cannot humiliate the one who feels pride. You cannot oppress the ones who are not afraid anymore.” -César Chávez
We’re grateful for César Chávez & the enduring legacy of his commitment to #equity, #education & #opportunity.
Heartbroken and yet grateful beyond words for the life of Paul Farmer and all he brought to the world. He set the example for how we bend the moral arc of the universe. Toward justice. Every day. Now it’s up to us. Let’s not let him down. RIP #PaulFarmer

A) "Everyone will be exposed to Omicron"
B) "Everyone will get Omicron"
They're different. (A) promotes appropriate caution till surge ends: boost, N95, outdoor>indoor. (B) promotes counterproductive behavior as hospitals are overwhelmed.
Biggest difference: A is true. B is not.
