Am I the only one who sees how abnormal it is that we work 8–9 hours, commute, come home, and only get a few hours to ourselves, and that includes cooking, showering, and getting ready for the next day? This can’t be how we are supposed to live.
Conversation that always drives me crazy:
Non-parent: I am so exhausted
Parent with 3 kids: No, you don’t know what exhausted is until you have kids.
Guys, people without kids can be exhausted too. People without kids can experience fatigue.
Enough.

There is NO reason any of us should have to thrive in a fast-paced environment or work well under pressure. Most of our daily work is not an emergency, and our culture of fake urgency and immediacy, just to make more profit for the C-suite, is burning people out.
Sometimes you just gotta lay in your bed and stare at the ceiling and talk to God about everything. Tell him that life feels heavy and tell him that you trust him even though nothing makes sense right now.
