@AKayumAhmed1 We can't consider the 'savior' and 'savage' as mutually exclusive. Often time States work as both: systematic oppressors and providers of welfare. A new corpus must empower 'victims' to leverage the 'savior' aspects of the state while dismantling the 'savage' aspects. #P8607

@AKayumAhmed1 The Dobbs decision showed that politicization of an issue within a country can be more powerful than international condemnation. Without a way to enforce human rights treaties, the UN amicus brief had little to no impact. #P8607

@AnishaBhargava3 @AKayumAhmed1 This is an interesting point. We talked in class about how the scope of what we consider 'health' has narrowed, which calls more attention to things like mental health, but also takes things like social security and housing out of the fight for UHC #P8607

@AKayumAhmed1 I’m not sure if rebellion is the best way to ensure UHC. The destruction and rebuilding of systems takes time and effort, and a lot of people would be hurt in the meantime. Working together to call out inequities and improve existing services may be a better option #P8607
