All at our club are deeply saddened by the passing of Brian McSweeney.  Brian has been taken from his family, friends & club far too early and his loss will be felt by all for a long time to come.

Brian made a huge contribution to Cobh since starting teaching in the 'Tech' in the early 80s. He coached teams at school and club level ever since, claiming East Cork, County and Munster titles with various teams. More importantly, under Brian's guidance, players grew as people.

Whether winning or losing he encouraged his players to 'take the good with the bad'. Anyone who had the opportunity the be a part of a team with Brian are all the better for the experience.

More will be said about Brian in the coming days, for now it's enough to say all who knew him are heartbroken and we send our deepest sympathies to his family and friends. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
