@jayneoc@WallStreetApes There have been many news stories that that is not happening in the US. Patients are still getting slammed with huge bills despite insurance and despite the "No Surprises" law.
@61raymax33@MatrixMysteries I like not having to carry cash.Since everything gets paid with the same card, it's easy to track what you're spending, not so with cash. I pay my card off every month as soon as I get the bill. It's a great feeling knowing you don't owe anything.
@zenchic@MatrixMysteries When were you in school? I went in the 90s. I'm under the impression tuition has gone up over 100% since then. The interest rate isn't that bad but people have to borrow far too much money.
@MatrixMysteries According to https://t.co/tOg97Isl33 the current interest rate for a Stafford Loan in around 6.5%. How much are people borrowing these days?
@61raymax33@MatrixMysteries I currently have 11 credit cards and haven't paid interest in 20 years. I only use 1 card a month an pay it off immediately when I get the bill.
@MatrixMysteries When food was cheap it didn't matter. But now food isn't cheap and you're expecting taxpayers to subsidize your expensive poor food choice. Not anymore bud.
@Reselle17726318@WallStreetApes Because she wasn't planning on her baby being born at 24 weeks gestation and spending 124 days in a NICU! No one plans for that! She had insurance for a normal delivery of a full term baby (36 weeks). How can you not see that immediately?
@jayneoc@WallStreetApes Well the hospital and the insurance company can't seem to get on the same page. With the "No Surprises" Bill, the mandatory arbitration usually finds in favor of the hospital so the patient is stuck with the bill.
@richardseiler He also didn't do the obligatory check-himself-into- rehab after smacking that producer around. Typical celebrity would have done that for a few months then made the rounds of the talk shows claiming they've been reborn and reformed.
@coachpaulgrady@sarahhepola The guys I used to work with always nagged me about that. When I tried it myself I found my hands were too weak and my tools not up to the task. It's a job I'm happy to pay someone to do for me.
