🚨🇨🇭🤯 Swiss commentator David Lemos has SLAMMED FIFA and the 2026 World Cup:
🗣️ "It was without a doubt the most commercialised World Cup in history, and also one of the most politicised.
We will not forget the price paid by people who didn't have significant financial means to follow their passion...
Sometimes they couldn't even enter the country because their nationality wasn't the right one. Fans, journalists, and even referees, such as Somali official Omar Artan 🇸🇴.
We also think about the unacceptable treatment of the Iran national team, who were unable to compete on equal terms in this tournament.
We also think of the Balogun case: we witnessed a president boasting about calling the FIFA president to have a player's suspension overturned.
Politics found its way into the heart of the game, even though FIFA says it wants football to be above everything else. Clearly, that is only true up to a certain point.
It was also a World Cup in which every match was effectively played in four quarters, and the final featured a half-time interval of almost 30 minutes...
The crisis has two names: money and power. Today, there is a crisis of trust between many people involved in the sport and FIFA.
In the coming weeks, money will pour into many federations and many figures in football, who will politely be invited to stay quiet.
We can only hope that some of these issues will be addressed, and that we never see them again."
@Xuccesfullzgsv@FabrizioRomano The 2026 FIFA World Cup has been overshadowed by controversial refereeing decisions, organizational issues, and inconsistent officiating. These problems have led many fans to question FIFA's professionalism and transparency.
@FabrizioRomano It’s really frustrating. When officiating is inconsistent or when the rules seem to bend for certain teams, it really undermines the whole competition. I hope there’s some transparency about it soon.
We all knew what happened!
@a5medv It is certainly frustrating when you feel decisions are unprofessional. African teams have lodged formal complaints.. The referee is unjust. He has single-handedly dismantled the hard work of an entire nation. It’s clear to me: this cup is being handed to Argentina
@FlashScoreDE The like of sane/musiala is going to course him big time. They aren't starter.
Musiala is not 100% at his best he dispossessed nd sane is completely chaos.
I want musiala to come up when the play is open nd legs were tired...
@iMiaSanMia TBH they soldRyan Gravenberch just to gave space to pavlo... Even Tom bishop show what he can go despite the position he play nd lack of minute. So, For me lahm is right!
@JONERO10 So, if you see a Muslim who smokes but refuses to drink beer, it usually reflects either a difference in how they understand the rulings or a personal struggle with addiction not because Islam encourages smoking while forbidding alcohol.
@JONERO10 This is similar to how some Christians may believe lying is sinful but still lie, or some people know smoking is unhealthy but continue because addiction is difficult to overcome.
