@LarsonRoger @NewportBeachPD I don't know about Newport Beach, but in Costs Mesa and Irvine the chances of expecting bicyclists to obey ANY traffic laws are close to non-existent most of the time... Wish riding on sidewalks was prohibited here!

@BritneyWaldron @SouthwestAir Check your facts!!!! It was NOT a "broken" window!!! It was NOT an emergency landing--check with the FAA if you don't believe them. Once again, this unscheduled stop shows how they (literally in this case) go out of their way to ensure safety.

@peace423 @SouthwestAir They do have a plan! They are inspecting fan blades in engines as expeditiously as possible--FAR more important to do it thoroughly and well than to rush it. These were two TOTALLY unrelated incidents. Still FAR safer to fly than the drive to the airport!

@UCIParking interestingly, shortly after I posted my previous reply, I made the relatively short walk from the Science Library to Humanities. in that short walk at about 3:20pm I was passed by 4 skateboards, 1 bicycle & 1 scooter on RingRoad! Maybe not typical but could use some enforcement!

@UCIParking What about skateboards? Fast, aggressive skateboard "riders" seem to have become far more numerous recently in the supposedly restricted areas. They are a real danger to pedestrians--I've had to jump out of the way of more than one of these self-centered people recently.
