President Kagame on youth reported to be engaging in religious activities that encourage poverty & timewasting.

"The other day I learnt that some young people like you, thousands actually, make a three-day pilgrimage to a certain place which apparently had holy apparitions, to pray for prosperity, but in reality, this place is associated with poverty. We are at a point where we are worshipping and praising poverty. I thought when we pray, we are praying for prosperity, to get out of poverty? I heard this happens regularly but that is unacceptable. It should not happen again. If it happens again, I will come & pick all of you & take you to a place and release you only if you drop that kind of mindset. In this day & age, in the 21st century, we shouldn't be doing things that encourage poverty or make us poorer. These are the same reasons that have kept Africa poor. We direct our energies to wrong priorities. We can't be doing things that promote poverty or make us poorer in the name of religion."
