Humbled to share a brief report card on my parliamentary responsibilities as a representative of Bihar in the Rajya Sabha. Grounded in the spirit of accountability, serving our people and contributing to national policymaking remain my highest priorities.

Here is a summary of my parliamentary engagement from April 3, 2024 to August 13, 2026 (2 years, 4 months, and 10 days).

🔹 Attendance: 93% (vs National Average: 80% | State Average: 82%)

🔹 Questions Raised: 155 Questions (Exceeding the 17-year, 2-month benchmark average of 143.78 National & 111.52 State)

🔹 Debate Participation: 35 Debates (Compared to the 17-year, 2-month benchmark average of 101.5 National & 84.3 State)

From advocating for Bihar’s core priorities, such as agricultural growth, water security, flood management, and regional connectivity, to contributing to critical national policy discussions on technology, economic and financial reforms, rural development, healthcare, education, and infrastructure, every intervention is aimed at constructive governance.

I am deeply grateful for the guidance and continuous trust of our respected leader Shri @NitishKumar Ji, the strong support of my @Jduonline family, and the constant encouragement and blessings of the people of Bihar. I remain steadfastly committed to serving our state and nation with utmost dedication. 🙏

Bihar’s journey of growth must be a collective effort, with its people across the world contributing ideas, expertise and opportunities.

It was a pleasure to interact with a diverse group of accomplished members of the Bihar diaspora in New York, including global executives, entrepreneurs, investors and community leaders. Despite my engagements at the Climate Week, I was glad to spend time discussing how their experience and networks can contribute to Bihar’s development.

A key focus was on creating new opportunities for Bihar’s young people, particularly in areas where they can build skills, careers and enterprises.

Grateful to Amit Choudhary, Manish Varma, Manish Sinha, Ram Sharma, Priya Choudhary, Jaya R. Subramaniam, Nitesh Kumar, Priti Kashyap, Alok Kashyap, Anurag Kumar, Anand Gupta, and Alok Kumar for a thoughtful and constructive interaction.

The conversations in New York reaffirmed one belief: Bihar’s global community can be an important partner in shaping Bihar’s next chapter.

Another glorious day (September 23) for Bharat at the #AsianGames2026!

Mirabai Chanu opened India’s medal tally in weightlifting with a Silver, while our Men’s Badminton Team won Bronze. Jay Meena created history with India’s first-ever Soft Tennis medal.

Our Men’s and Women’s Skeet Teams also clinched Bronze, adding to the medal haul.

बिहार की समृद्ध ऐतिहासिक एवं सां��्कृतिक विरासत को नई पहचान दिलाने का प्रयास!

परिवहन, पर्यटन एवं संस्कृति संबंधी संसदीय स्थायी समिति ने पिछले दिनों हमारे बिहार का दौरा किया था। इसके उपरांत समिति की वरिष्ठ सांसद, पद्मभूषण से सम्मानित श्रीमती सुधा मूर्ति जी ने बिहार की समृद्ध ऐतिहासिक, पुरातात्विक, धार्मिक एवं सांस्कृतिक विरासत के संरक्षण एवं संवर्धन के साथ-साथ राज्य में पर्यटन के विकास के संबंध में कुछ महत्वपूर्ण सुझा�� मेरे साथ साझा किए थे।

उनके बहुमूल्य सुझावों के आलोक में मैंने माननीय केंद्रीय संस्कृति एवं पर्यटन मंत्री श्री गजेंद्र सिंह शेखावत जी को पत्र लिखकर निम्नलिखित बिंदुओं पर विचार करने का अनुरोध किया है:

🔹 नालंदा और केसरिया में वैज्ञानिक एवं ��रणबद्ध पुरातात्विक अन्वेषण के साथ-साथ केसरिया में विश्वस्तरीय पर्यटक सुविधाओं का विकास।

🔹 बराबर गुफाओं और वैशाली को 'यूनेस्को विश्व धरोहर' (UNESCO World Heritage) के रूप में पहचान दिलाने हेतु पहल हो।

🔹 बिहार में एकीकृत हेरिटेज सर्किट का विकास हो और उसमें नालंदा, राजगीर, बोधगया, वैशाली, केसरिया, बराबर और विक्रमशिला जैसे प्रमुख स्थलों को जोड़कर उसकी राष्ट्रीय व अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तर पर ब्रांडिंग हो।

हमारे बिहार की समृद्ध विरासत भारत की साझा सभ्यतागत विरासत का महत्वपूर्ण हिस्सा है। मुझे विश्वास है कि यदि इसके संरक्षण एवं विकास के साथ इसका प्रभावी ढंग से प्रचार किया जाए, तो देश में हेरिटेज टूरिज्म को बल मिलेगा।

Deeply saddened by the untimely passing of Payal Mehta. I had met her just four days ago, and it is difficult to believe that she is no more.

At 46, she had so much ahead of her, both personally and professionally. A committed journalist at @CNNNews18, her loss is deeply painful.

My heartfelt condolences to her family, friends and colleagues.

May her soul rest in peace. 🙏
