"Modi ji wait and watch, it wont take 2 minutes to create Nepal like situation. If you won’t agree through affection, you’ll agree through the gun."
A Cockroach at Jantar Mantar.
"Mera ling, meri marzi. Mera gender, meri marzi. Mere kapde, meri marzi."
This is from a protest supposedly held in support of NEET students.
Whatever the protest may be, farm laws, CAA, NRC, pro-Naxal causes, wrestlers' protests, inflation, corruption, Palestine, etc., this JNU group somehow shows up with its gender issues and make it about themselves.
Why, though? Live your life. Nobody is stopping you from identifying as whatever you want or dressing however you want. As far as individual trolling is concerned, you have to deal with it. Everyone gets mocked in India, and everyone deals with it. If people started being jailed for calling each other names or hurling insults, almost everyone would be in jail.
Bro Ronaldo has deadass played in FIVE World Cups and SIX Euros, won a Euro and Nations League, and still has 0 Player of the Tournament awards 😭😭😭
How is that genuinely possible??
I’m here to debunk one of the biggest myths used to glaze Cristiano Ronaldo:
“Portugal were nothing before Ronaldo.”
That’s simply false.
Portugal has always been a major football nation. The average Portuguese child has a far higher chance of becoming a professional footballer than most countries. This isn’t some tiny footballing underdog like Iceland.
Before Cristiano Ronaldo, Portugal had already produced:
• 3 Ballon d’Or winners
• A record 4 European Golden Boots (most by any nation)
At club level, Portuguese football was elite long before Ronaldo.
Benfica were one of Europe’s first superpowers, dominating alongside Real Madrid in the early European Cup era. They reached 9 European Cup/Champions League finals — more than clubs from most footballing nations — and represented Europe on the world stage in the Intercontinental Cup.
Internationally, people love saying Portugal couldn’t qualify for tournaments before Ronaldo.
What they won’t tell you is that World Cups and Euros had only 12-16 teams back then. By today’s qualification formats, Portugal would’ve qualified for several more tournaments, using the old format Ronaldo would have missed 3-4 championships
And Portugal’s greatest World Cup achievement remains their 3rd-place finish in 1966, when Eusébio delivered one of the greatest World Cup performances ever against an era featuring Pelé’s Brazil.
Now people want to use the Nations League — essentially a glorified friendly tournament created for World Cup preparation — to erase over half a century of Portuguese football history and credit everything to one man.
Portugal didn’t become a football nation because of Ronaldo.
Ronaldo was fortunate enough to be born into a football nation that was already great.
India’s biggest coastal city with richest municipality and they never thought about desalination plants there, like ever. Monsoon delay by few days and millions are on the mercy of rain gods then. Hadh hai.
Heard a cabinet reshuffle is on the cards.
Requesting the PM to consider swapping the ministries of Shri Nitin Gadkari and Shri Dharmendra Pradhan.
Shri Gadkari has already done more than needed work in transport, so much so that there is virtually nothing left to be done. A man with such a Midas touch, and hunger to bring change even if it's not needed, is exactly what is required in the Education Ministry, where a massive overhaul is needed.
Meanwhile, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan can be transferred to the Transport Ministry. Since the heavy lifting there has already been completed, the ministry now requires someone who won't do much, will leave things exactly as they are, and won't experiment too much. Shri Pradhan, having done remarkably little in the Education Ministry, would be the ideal candidate for the job.
I think Andh Dwesh is the reason some folks are more obsessed with having a team in the World Cup than becoming a world leader in digital payments, doubling GDP, growing to Top-6 in world economy, increasing defense exports by 33x times, achieving near-100% rural electrification etc (too many to list). 😃🙏
PS: Yes, there ARE shortcomings/failings and there IS much more to do, but the list of accomplishments since 2014 IS quite large & impressive (though Andh Dweshis are blind to that). 🙏
PPS: Indians are way more into cricket than soccer. In cricket World Cups, India has been putting on a stellar show! 😃
Goldman Sachs has turned significantly more constructive on India’s external sector. The INR has weakened more than India's balance of payments (BoP) fundamentals justify. India posted a $7.2bn BoP surplus in Q1 CY26 (current account surplus of $7bn), driven by record remittances ($41bn which which is 4% of GDP), a strong services trade surplus, and a lower oil import bill (-15% YoY volumes) despite Middle East-driven price spikes.
Inflation continues to be the big worry
Wholesale inflation jumped to 9.68% in May compared to 8.26% last month
Nearly 10% wholesale inflation is worrying not just because of oil. Ofcourse fuel is a big chunk , fuel inflation is running above 30% due to the west Asia crisis.
But inflation is also rising across food, raw materials and manufactured goods.
businesses are paying significantly more for energy, transportation and production today
And when companies face higher costs, they usually have two choices:
Absorb the pain.
Or pass it on to consumers.
And more often than not , it’s the latter.
At the moment , consumer inflation is still much lower than wholesale inflation.
But if wholesale prices continue rising at this pace, it could eventually put pressure on retail inflation as well.
That’s the number to watch.
Inflation in the manufactured products category rose to 7.5% in May 2026, from 6.7% in the previous month and 1.4% in May last year. Thats a considerable jump.
Within this, the manufacture of five categories tobacco products, textiles, chemicals, basic metals and electrical equipment saw inflation above 10% in May 2026! . this is important because not all of it is linked to global energy prices.
You refuse to share metadata with the Indian government or assist Indian agencies in tracking criminals, even when you have the capability to do so. Instead, you choose to provide them a safe haven. So perhaps it’s best not to lecture others about morality.
Big day for all of us at Sarvam.
I want to start by thanking my team for shouldering this mission with immense belief, urgency, and care.
Reflecting on the last few years of the founding journey, my conviction has only deepened:
- AI will be far more consequential than most of us realize even today
- The value loops of this new world cannot be owned by a couple of companies
- Country of India scale cannot rent intelligence. We have to build it ourselves
We are going to push hard across every layer of the company, but the thing that excites me most right now is our shot at building frontier-class AI systems from India. We are assembling the team, the compute, and the deployment engine to make this happen.
I also want to thank our new investors. HCLTech’s partnership opens joint opportunities to bring our research and platform to many of HCLTech’s clients - this is also a unique template to bring together India’s strengths. BVP brings to the team the rare combination of being at the forefront of India's biggest tech shifts for the past two decades while globally having partnered with category defining enterprise AI companies.
