@dieworkwear i love apc new standards… if it were ~2011, and they were on sale for $120 all the time. they *were* the default answer for anyone looking for a versatile first raw + selvedge that would get “sick fades.” not $300 in 2024? for the nyt audience, maybe unbranded ub101
i am turned off by dynamic ads on big network shows that feel like awful, bland terrestrial radio ads. feels like nobody involved understands or respects the audience
i listen to so few big corp network podcasts that the dynamically inserted ads are still jarring. can’t find that skip button fast enough. and i’ve probably listened to hundreds of squarespace or mack weldon ads… when read by hosts i’ve spent 100 hrs with
can still recite the casper mattress ad copy in merlin mann’s cadence (a new type of *hybrid* foam)
and nick and stav doing ridge wallet or blue chew will be forever seared into my brain. i’m not categorically anti-ads on podcasts
There was this group called "weird twitter" in 2013 and 2014 that would riff on anything. It was entertaining.
Then they were all forced into being foot soldiers for the Bernie campaign in 2015. And then Bernie lost. And a few groups got rich with podcasts and that whole ecosystem collapsed.
@clintonthegeek you can check settings > apple id > icloud but i think all photos and docs + device backups count towards the meager 5gb of the free tier. basically worthless, they should’ve increased the storage amount ages ago
@missmayim@edailypop@OneEclecticMom is a fun, positive, awesome J!fan. ❤️ wardobe posts!
harmful to invent a non-existent "controversy." cynical & totally gross ploy to distract from any real, substantive critiques of mayim
