Why are people unable to speak English claiming benefits in such large numbers? 865,299 calls to the DWP last year required an interpreter. Why are these individuals entitled to financial support from the British taxpayer?

If you can't speak English - the answer is no. You can't get benefits.

Other than a minuscule number of British citizens who have a genuine reason for needing help with communication, and for Welsh/BSL.

We know that £726,000,000 was spent on refugee households through Universal Credit last year. What was the cost for all foreign nationals? It will be astronomical.

I questioned Keir Starmer on this in the Commons. He promised to provide me with an 'update'. No information has been forthcoming yet. I have chased...

I've previously estimated that roughly 50,000 foreign nationals are passing DWP tests to become eligible for Universal Credit each month. So what's the true number?

If you can't speak English, then how on earth are these people going to ever contribute to our economy/society? Quite frankly, why have they been granted visas in the first place?

Those who come need to be able to a) support themselves financially and b) speak English.

Why have we allowed such huge numbers of foreign nationals into the country who can't speak our language and can't fund themselves?

What about those with a British passport, living in England, who can't speak English? That's an entirely different debate, one which needs to be had.

We all deserve answers to these questions.

Our welfare system is being systemically abused, and it is costing us all billions and billions.

An honest debate is required, fuelled by accurate and transparent data.
