the cornell rape case is upsetting enough, but reading defense or denial of it? zero empathy over how morally/ethically disturbing the situation is. men do not view women as people; they view us as liars, whores, and holes. I wish they’d all suffer.
Downright malicious for the headline to imply that the victim changed her story, when in reality she just went over the police statement (that someone else transcribed on her behalf) in detail and made sure it was consistent with her actual statement.
Two days after Jane Doe was assaulted, she visited the Cornell health clinic for UTI medication and told the doctor she contracted it in "a traumatic way"— that's not how anyone describes a consensual encounter.
She also kept the dress she wore that night unwashed to preserve evidence. That’s not what someone does after a consensual encounter.
Men are doxxing the wrong women because they're so hungry to terrorize a rape victim into further tragedy, they don't care if they violate & destroy other women. They just want to join in men's sexual violence like the 8th in line to a gang rape, any woman will do.
Cornell has been caught in a lie this morning. After previously asserting that they turned over all investigatory documents to the DA, NYT reporting reveals that they withheld the transcript of Jane Doe’s testimony and sent only the summary they produced, omitting key details and assertions. While Jane Doe did sign the statement, she is NOT an attorney and was not at all qualified to determine which legally relevant details to include or omit. That is the job of a system that failed her at every turn. And to be clear, this does not absolve the DA. If he truly believed he received a police report about a totally consensual evening (which that six page summary was not) it was his job to investigate why this young woman made a police report in the first place. Instead, he went on cable news to malign her character and weaken her credibility. Disgusting on every front. https://t.co/wzQoH33A34
This is Cereese Qusba, the hero investigative journalist for the Cornell Daily Sun who doggedly pursued the story about the Cornell 7 for two years, blowing the lid off what had happened when her article was finally published on the 19th..
With so many dark posts about such a horrific incident, Ms. Qusba’s work shows the importance of journalism in accountability. She is the best of Cornell.
A reminder of how beautiful a Star Wars movie can be when it’s made by a true auteur. Unfortunately, the people running this franchise don’t seem to want that anymore.
Every time I hear people criticize art/ creative related fields I think about how art is usually what we use to remember past civilizations. Literature, paintings, architecture and pottery come to mind. A government against art is a government against humanity.
i’m no relationship expert but have you tried taking her to get an iced coffee, tj maxx for fall decorations, spirit Halloween, the bookstore, and then going to a Mexican restaurant
