Never have I seen a petitioner in the Supreme Court openly abuse the Chief Justice of India.
This man’s name is Prabal Pratap. Even though he is wearing a black robe, he is not a lawyer, but an overwhelmed and frustrated petitioner who spoke his mind.
Yes, his conduct undermines the dignity of the highest court in India. But why would an ordinary citizen do this, knowing full well it could amount to contempt of court? Perhaps we should consider that he is expressing the collective frustration and helplessness of many Indian citizens who feel tormented by the inefficiency of the justice system.

It used to be said that the "Taran Taaran" district was like a rocket that would blast the entire state of Punjab right out of India.

The Government of India banned the movie #Satluj, because it effectively glorified terrorists. Although the ISI was highly active across Punjab at the time, the film makes no mention of it whatsoever; conversely, it goes out of its way to portray the police in an excessively negative light.

Today's generation cannot comprehend how Sikh terrorists turned Punjab into a living hell during the 1970s and 1980s. Their reign of terror was such that they demanded newspapers refer to them as "*Khadku*" (fighters/militants) rather than "terrorists."

*Punjab Kesari* persisted in using the term "terrorist," and as a result, its editor was assassinated. Bus services would cease operations after 5 PM, and an unofficial curfew would descend upon the state after 7 PM.

During this period, over 500 police personnel were killed. Terrorists issued explicit warnings that anyone who testified against them would be killed—and indeed, they were.

Judges refused to hear cases involving the terrorists. Passengers were dragged off buses and shot dead after their religion was verified. Over the course of a decade, the Hindu population in Punjab declined by 4%.

Regarding the Hindu population in Punjab—if you look at the data for Hindu demographics in the state's villages, you will find the reason for this shift: during that era, Hindus fled the villages and migrated to the cities.

In such dire circumstances, the work accomplished jointly by Chief Minister Beant Singh and Police Chief KPS Gill was extraordinary. The terrorists had never even imagined that the government would take such decisive and stern action.

Once peace was restored, both Indira Gandhi and Beant Singh were assassinated. Bitta, a Congress leader, has claimed to possess a room full of evidence documenting the killings of 35,000 Hindus; the only reason the issue remains dormant is a desire to avoid reigniting that fire.

That is why, if a film is to be made about the victims of terrorism in Punjab, it should first focus on those who received no assistance from any government, secured no government job, and did not enter politics.
