It is not as if firms are posting bad results. And, therefore stocks are falling.
Stocks are falling because there is uncertainty.
And, investors hate uncertainty.
1) Amazon, Meta spending too much on Capex = uncertainty
2) AI eating software = uncertainty. Not sure what will survive?
3) AI impacting the job market= uncertainty. Job market impacting everything else= uncertainty
Firms are guiding for good growth.
There is no economic slowdown.
AI is an enabler of the economy. Like any tech innovation, it would create uncertainty.
Markets being markets are simply reacting to all this.
As long as you hold wide MOAT business, you will survive this phase. And, come out at the top.
Like always: the best time to buy is when people are in panic.
Dear Telecom companies,
I have two SIM cards. One is for personal use and the other is for a different purpose. I do not need data on the second SIM, so why am I forced to buy monthly plans with data?
I am ready to pay for validity, calls, and SMS. I do not want your data. Many people already have broadband at home and they also do not want your data.
Just because you have good signal across India does not mean you can do whatever you want. You have removed small plans, and your voice-only plans now cost almost the same as regular plans.
Trust me, these companies will do anything to earn more profit. It will get even worse in the future if TRAI keeps sleeping.
Dear Jio,
Two Suggestions:
- Most Indians have Wifi access. Senior Citizens use Wifi mostly. Please provide an affordable 1 GB per day plan with options to choose (28 days onwards). Also a yearly plan.
- Provide affordable Voice only plans for less than ₹100 every month. Anything above this is forcing people to take data, even if they don't need it.
There are many who use only voice and also less than 1 GB per day. Need inclusive plans. Let users decide.
Urging my audience to repost this (if you also feel this way) until @JioCare ACTUALLY Cares 👍

If you are working in Mumbai, you work in a city that pays the highest taxes in the country, your local municipality has a budget of Rs 90,000 crores and has Rs 55,000 cr of free cash.
And despite you paying close to half your salary in taxes, you
1. Are not able to buy a house because a corrupt nexus of politicians, Bereaucrats and builders have made houses unaffordable for you.
2. Are not able to stay close to work because you can't afford the rent.
3. Get stuck in traffic jams because most of the city still depends on the roads that were laid in 90s despite the population growing 10 times since then
4. Anyway can't drive because our roads have more craters than the Moon
5. Can't take the train, as you risk falling out and dying a brutal death.
6. Suffocate in the metro as our bureaucrats had estimated 4 coaches was enough for the metro, but now there is a crowd for 20 and the same people are playing Red tape Red tape with the proposal to increase the number of coaches for the metro.
7. Get drenched in rain or Sweat like a sauna outside the metro because there is no last mile connectivity
8. Can't take buses because there are no buses as your governing body has halved the fleet so that some private entities can take over the lucrative business.
9. Get treated like shit by autos and taxis because they are doing you a favour by dropping you.
10. Die waiting for flyovers which will ease traffic to get completed and when they do, they are useless and full of potholes anyway. Case in point, the Vikhroli flyover took 35 years. Vidyavihar one is taking 10 and God knows how long Sion Bridge will take.
11. Have no hope because none of the decision makers ever cross the sea link where the real problems are unless there is an inauguration. But you pray they don't because that means another hour in the already 1.5 hour commute of yours.
