Will Alya leave this time?
My answer is no.
Am I tired of the airports? Oh, definitely. We all are, but airports are part of CihAl’s DNA at this point. Like the phoenix necklace, Cihan's bracelet, the rings, the 5 seconds talk - airports are their place.
Because every airport scene marks a turning point in their relationship.
The story literally starts with Alya arriving at the airport.
Then we get Istanbul - Alya leaving, Cihan following her, and the iconic “5 seconds” conversation. That moment defined their entire relationship. It was the first time they existed together outside of Mardin, outside of obligations, just emotionally exposed to each other.
Then comes Zeynep’s wedding airport scene. Alya tries to run again, but what matters there isn’t the leaving - it’s the hesitation. Cihan notices her delaying going through passport control. He sees that tiny moment of uncertainty, and for him it means everything. That maybe… she doesn’t want to leave him either.
That’s why he says: "Let’s see who leaves and who stays."
Next airport: the confession.
Alya is leaving again, but not because she wants to leave Cihan - she’s trying to save her son. And this is where Cihan stops her, reassures her, confesses his feelings, and even brings back the 5 seconds conversation. Full circle.
Then the airport appears again through Alya’s nightmare. The fear of losing Cihan. And that’s when she realizes he’s the only man she has ever truly loved.
And notice something important: in ep.48 Alya leaves by lorry, not through an airport. Because that separation wasn’t meant to develop their relationship.
Airport scenes always change something between them.
Which brings us to now.
This new airport scene isn’t really about "Will Alya leave again?" The real question is: who stops her this time?
And honestly? I think for CihAl’s relationship to truly evolve, it has to be Alya herself.
Not Cihan chasing her.
Not Cihan stopping her.
Alya choosing to stay.
Because her entire arc has been about running. Survival. Never belonging anywhere. But now we have her talking about finally finding where she belongs - and that place is Cihan.
So if the writers want to show actual character growth, Alya has to be the one who stops herself this time.
I don’t know how they’ll end the episode. Maybe they’ll keep the same cliffhanger as the Zeynep wedding episode. Maybe they’ll show her leaving the airport entirely.
But I genuinely do not believe Alya is leaving this time.
In fact, I think this will be the first airport scene where Alya finally chooses to stay on her own.
And that’s exactly why the story keeps returning to airports. Because airports are not repetitive in CihAl’s story - they are symbolic. They are the place where their relationship changes every single time.

Since childhood, I always wanted to belong somewhere.Everywhere I tried to hold on to, I was torn away from.I always felt this huge emptiness inside me like there was a missing piece I could never fill no matter what I did.But you filled that emptiness in me.
