Kenya is working with partners across the world to expand markets for our products, attract investment, and promote local manufacturing and value addition. Our leadership in floriculture and our strong position in the global flower market remain critical to growing exports and reinforcing Kenya’s reputation for quality, sustainability, and innovation.
To support this growth, we are expanding cold-chain logistics and strengthening market access for Kenyan producers through the Kenya–European Union Economic Partnership Agreement, creating new opportunities for farmers and agribusinesses alike.
Partnerships with global industry leaders such as Yara International are equally important in advancing agricultural productivity, food security, and climate-smart farming. Together, we can unlock new opportunities for farmers, accelerate agricultural transformation, and create greater prosperity across the value chain.
Held productive discussions in Oslo with Mr. Erling Ølstad of Mester Grønn and Mr. Magnus Krogh Ankarstrand of Yara International on strengthening cooperation in these areas and expanding opportunities for Kenyan producers in international markets.
Kenya and Norway enjoy strong and enduring relations founded on shared values, mutual respect and a common commitment to peace, sustainable development and inclusive prosperity.
Met with Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre and discussed ways to further deepen bilateral cooperation in trade and investment, renewable energy and climate action, and regional peace and security. Our partnership continues to be anchored on mutual benefit and a shared ambition to create opportunities for our people and economies.
We also witnessed the signing of agreements to strengthen cooperation in peace mediation and conflict resolution, and to advance collaboration in carbon markets and climate action through market-based approaches that support sustainable development and green growth.
Welcome to Oslo, FM Gedion Timothewos! 🇪🇹🇳🇴
I appreciated our exchange on Ethiopia’s green energy & industy ambitions and the potential for closer commercial ties with Norway. We also discussed the situation in the Horn of Africa, the Hormuz Strait, Ukraine and UN reform.

Our #DiplomaticTrainees are this year 15 highly competent young people that it will be an honour and a joy the next 6 months to help prepare for their first posting and a long career in the service.
Det norske selskapet @_noisolation og AV1 er nevnt i den britiske regjeringens nye ensomhetsstrategi, som et konkret eksempel på hvordan teknologi kan motvirke ensomhet. Veldig bra! 🎉
Can’t believe how lucky we are! Another memory collected at the tail end of our London adventure. ❤️ to London, good friends and good times. @C_Windmill@dwindmill1#wimbledon2018 🎾
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge met @_noisolation in Oslo earlier this year at @MESHnorway . Last night AV1 made @Everton fan, Jack, dreams come true. Technology is about making the seemingly impossible possible.
