@HuskiesRock2020@Donnell90512468@RossDellenger "prohibits the player’s NIL rights to be used by any other school, though the player can sign outside marketing agreements." If i have a $6 mm outside marketing deal, I'm not gonna care about NIL
@JCKuest@godawgsin11@SnapAgainThanos@slmandel Might be different. All depends on the terms. TBD. Either way it doesn't stop him from leaving or playing next year. Its all so wild west there is a massive grey area this lives in. How do you determine damages of a player leaving when there is no way of knowing the future?
@JCKuest@SnapAgainThanos@slmandel Its just too easy to get around tampering. Hard to prove. Just use a third party. Lucas case is still in discovery. He's still playing. He proved you don't need the portal at all. I just don't see sitting out happening based on that case. They can draw it out for years.
@DrakeFantasy I don’t think they should be retired either. But look up “The Unforgettables” at Kentucky. Schools can decide to retire whoever they want
@ManginiNick@wilnerhotline Because these deals aren't technically associated with performance or playing sports. Its technically based on their Name Image and Likeness. Its a loophole. Its hard to cap or place requirements based on someone's Name Image or Likeness.
