What caught my attention in this interview is when he said "The world is not short of capital. There is capital always looking for return, but that capital is waiting to match the right person."
As a young person trying to make it, this completely affected my perspective.
We often make the mistake of thinking the biggest obstacle between us and our dreams is a lack of funds. "If only I had the capital, I’d launch the business." "If only I had a backer, I will scale."
Investors, founders, and institutions are constantly hunting for people who can actually execute. They have the resources, but they lack the hands, the brains, and the grit.
So, if the capital is already out there waiting, your only job right now is to become undeniable.
Stop waiting for a big break to start
Start small with what you have
Build your "proof of work" in public
Let people see your process
Fix your character. Capital never stays where there is a lack of integrity.
