After studying medicine at the University of Zimbabwe and advancing his surgical training, Dr. Ngulube joined Mpilo Central Hospital in Bulawayo, where he built a reputation for tackling complex cases while helping train the next generation of doctors through his work as a lecturer.

His impact extends far beyond the operating theatre. Following specialised training in South Korea, Dr. Ngulube played a key role in establishing and expanding endoscopy services at Mpilo by restoring donated equipment that had been left unusable, bringing life-saving procedures closer to thousands of Zimbabweans.

His innovation, leadership and commitment to public healthcare earned him the prestigious Avison Global Leadership Award in 2023, making him a fitting choi

I wouldn’t usually post a thread all about one decision in a 90 minute game of football, but today’s was so significant, and so outrageous, it has to be highlighted and discussed.

This week the paediatric surgeons at Parirenyatwa helped a little patients with cancer in BOTH kidneys. Wilms tumor is one of the commonest cancers in children and usually affects one kidney. Paediatric surgeons, Dr Muparadzi and Dr Moyo led a team of specialists who managed to perform a nephron sparing operation on one kidney and a radical nephrectomy on the other kidney. This highly specialized operation, the first of its kind at Parirenyatwa Hospital, ensures that the child is free from cancer but still has enough normal kidney tissue to be able to survive without requiring dialysis. Although cancer is a devastating diagnosis for any family, with the proper care, children are able to recover and be cured. Hats off to the surgeons, anaesthetists and nursing staff at Parirenyatwa. And thank you to our friends, @KidsOperating for equipping the children's theatre at Parirenyatwa. Lives are being saved in this theatre.

The end of an era .

I have received with deep sorrow and a heavy heart the tragic news of the passing of Mrs Lilian Mujuru and her five beloved children, Nokutenda, Makanaka, Ronald Junior, Rufaro Shalom and little Kayden, who lost their lives in a fatal road traffic accident along Masvingo Road near Mvuma.

This is a painful loss beyond words a heartbreaking tragedy that has robbed one family of six precious lives in a single moment.

As a mother, grandmother, I am deeply moved by the sorrow that has befallen the Mujuru family, and I extend my sincere condolences to Mr Ronald Mujuru, the bereaved husband and father, as well as to the extended family, friends and the church community.

I am imagining the anguish and emptiness that this tragedy has left behind. May the Almighty God grant Mr Mujuru strength and comfort during this unimaginably difficult time, and may the nation stand with him in prayer, compassion and solidarity.

I also urge all road users to exercise the utmost caution and responsibility on our roads so that we may prevent such devastating tragedies that continue to claim innocent lives and leave families shattered. May the souls of departed rest in eternal peace.

We couldn’t even keep the ball for 30 seconds back then. The discipline he showed to these players no more player power.

He managed to sell so many deadwood players and could have done even more.
