@ImmortalDil brennan’s been playing d&d for essentially his whole life. it’s a comedy show meant to entertain, and he gets that the name of the game here is improv and fun first, rules second. people act like they’re personally being forced to play this way. not to mention this is VtM.
@ImmortalDil banging my head against a wall reading through all of the replies on that post of people saying that the cast are hobby tourists. as if this isn’t their actual job. as if there aren’t 10 seasons of D20 just with this cast alone where they display expert knowledge of rules.
i think we all need to remember that this season is one single day and for santos, it started with her being threatened by the new attending to repeat her r2 year, and then all day that same attending has been treating langdon with infinite kindness. no wonder she’s angry.
@DrunkenDruid89@willbyersfiles yeah but the dnd creature names are essentially just placeholders in the show. i don’t think the duffers actually care about sticking to canon monster traits. false hydras have become increasingly popular, and the average person is most familiar with reptilian/serpentine hydras.
@hellyeahjeremy i mean. they were all already dying because of the experiments and at least their suffering was ended (if they were even still alive at that point). it would also totally undermine el’s sacrifice if they lived, on the off chance that one of the babies did end up with powers.
i get why kali thinks the way she does. she escaped brenner just to be dragged back in and was essentially tortured for who knows how long, it’s so reasonable for her to think that the only way out is death. she needs to stop pushing el though.
number one mom fr. sorry to joyce but karen found out about the upside down and immediately tried to kill a demogorgon and then when she heard they were in the hospital she didn’t even hesitate to put herself in danger to save max and lucas despite almost dying the first time
