@1tintico@_KATBOI667@YourAnonCentral Why would Europe, Asia, and Africa be separate continent but not North and South America. Just a stupid map only 3rd worlders use. There’s a reason Fifa separated North America and South America with Concacaf and Conmebol Its 2 separate continents.
@TubaronAzul@bardoalado@golz_tv My main point is LigaMX negotiating higher fees isn’t what you should demonize its the development system thats the reason mexico sucks
@TubaronAzul@bardoalado@golz_tv Yeah Brazilian clubs are doing the same thing people demonize LigaMX for. The only difference is demand, when LigaMX negotiates higher fees there’s no suitors because the players are horrible while Brazilian clubs can negotiate higher because the players are great.
@TubaronAzul@bardoalado@golz_tv Mexicans aren’t priced out of Europe. European clubs throw insane money at players they actually want. The problem is Mexican players aren’t good enough right now to create that demand, so when Liga MX asks for serious money, clubs just move on. Its a development problem not pric
@TubaronAzul@bardoalado@golz_tv Rayan going to Porto or Bournemouth doesn’t change the point. He was developed enough to compete wherever he went. Mexico doesn’t produce players like that but price them like they are.
@TubaronAzul@bardoalado@golz_tv I would say it’s more of a new norm. Brazilians never needed the Portuguese league as stepping stone to make the jump straight to a top 5 leagues clubs and Portuguese clubs lost the market because they can’t financially compete with premier league clubs.
@TubaronAzul@bardoalado@golz_tv Rayan is the perfect example of this.He went straight from Brazil to Bournemouth and became one of their best players during their long unbeaten run. This decade, Johan is the best Mexican example of something like this happening, and he got relegated his first 2 seasons.
@TubaronAzul@bardoalado@golz_tv Portugal clubs don’t spend that kind of money. The real reason Brazilians get expensive moves is because Premier League and top 5 league clubs have seen Brazilians come straight from Brazil into their leagues and perform. Mexico doesn’t have that track record.
@TubaronAzul@bardoalado@golz_tv I mean thats apart of the problem. Mexican players only do good in Holland/Portugal. Those leagues don’t have or spend a lot of money, you need to make players that are alluring to top 5 leagues preferably the premier league if you want european clubs buying Mexicans.
@TubaronAzul@bardoalado@golz_tv The biggest thing holding Mexico down isn’t price. European clubs treat 20 million like nothing. Mexico’s recent track record of exports is what’s ruining them. Their best exports recently have Edson, Santi, and Johan. None of those examples are alluring to europan clubs
@TubaronAzul@bardoalado@golz_tv I mean there’s also Denner Evangelista who never even debuted for his club and got €10 Million. Even for Argentina you have Anselmino who had 0 YNT call ups but 7 club appearances which was enough for a €16 million transfer. For reference LigaMX largest transfer is €15 million
@jayazul8@MLSTransfers Yeah but at some point, you have to recognize these aren’t outliers. Davies was an outlier, Obed and freeman are more of a new norm.I mean let alone the league Justin Ellis and Snyder Brunell are both u20 players Orland+Seattle have that look like they can replicate the pathway.
@jayazul8@MLSTransfers I mean Alex Freeman made a similar move that transfer move to Villareal who are 3rd in La Loga and similarly hasn’t looked out of place .I think the investment MLS has put into in it Youth Development path and pipeline are just starting to show and I think theres alot more coming
@ParkSlopeFlngsm And those Dutch/Portuguese clubs don’t spend a lot of money. I mean just look at the absurd money Premier league clubs are spending on South American teenagers with barely half a season. That whole Argentines and Brazilians sell them cheaply excuse doesn’t work anymore.
@ParkSlopeFlngsm I think they fail to realize if a club in a top 5 league really wanted Mexican players they have more than enough money to get them. The reason they don’t really want Mexican players is because LigaMX to Top 5 league moves rarely work out without a Dutch/Portugal club in between
@sanosreptla@BayernAusBoston@MattZeitlin@turdducken Still doesn’t make sense how Mexican Americans make up the majority of the soccer fans and participants in the US but are only 10-20 % of the players/prospects, maybe even lower. Probably just genetics because Pepi is the best Mexican-American and hes not very great
@TheBolivianYank@DJMedina90@mind_jacket Mexicans have way more marketability in soccer. Even if they really wanted the American market, you’d probably target Mexico due to most soccers fans in the US being Mexican. I mean LigaMX had been the most viewed soccer league in the US for like a decade, when Pulisic came up.
@AGutiGarcia@Jmanriquez_21@TheBolivianYank And the problem with relying on Dutch/Portuguese clubs are that they don’t spend a lot of money since their business relies on scamming top 5 league clubs not getting scammed.
@AGutiGarcia@Jmanriquez_21@TheBolivianYank I mean most of the good data is over a decade old and still shows the Mexican player struggles to make the jump to a top5 league without relying on Dutch/Portuguese clubs.I mean The best player to make the jump up straight from LigaMX this decade got relegated his first 2 seasons
