Visiting a Mosque, Church, Hindu Kovil and Temple in Kurunegala & Galle by Women Local Govt Members & Communities was groundbreaking to most participants. Awareness raised and misplaced ideas rectified. Participants will share this experience within their communities.🇳🇱assisted.

Targeting grassroots reconciliation thro women local govt members SAPRI held Zoom events in June for 4 districts on Poson. Buddhist, Hindu, Islam & Christian clerics contributed. Students items were key. Hindu, Islam and Christian students sang Bakthi Gee together in Vavuniya.

Mrs P.D. Punchi Kumari, Member, Vavuniya Urban Council and active participant of SAPRI’s Women Empowerment programmes in Vavuniya passed away from Covid-19. SAPRI extends condolences to the Council, and family of Mrs. Punchi Kumari. May she attain the supreme bliss of Nibbana.
To assist SAPRI's Women Local Govt Members network to adapt to ‘new norms’ in interpersonal contact during Covid-19 pandemic, training in web conferencing was provided to Members in Ampara, Colombo, Gampaha & Vavuniya. They now actively join interactive sessions at webinars!
