A margine dello #ShangriLaDialogue 2026 #SLD26#IISS_SLD26, il Ministro @GuidoCrosetto ha incontrato l’Ammiraglio Samuel Paparo, Comandante del Comando Indo-Pacifico degli Stati Uniti @INDOPACOM.
“L’Indo-Pacifico rappresenta oggi un’aerea strategica globale da cui dipendono rotte marittime, approvvigionamenti energetici, commercio e tecnologie essenziali anche per l’Italia e l’Europa.
Per questo l’Italia guarda con crescente attenzione alla regione, mantenendo una presenza sostenibile, orientata alla cooperazione, alla sicurezza marittima e al dialogo con i partner internazionali, in equilibrio con le priorità euro-atlantiche.
La partecipazione della portaerei Cavour e degli F-35 della Marina Militare e dell’Aeronautica Militare all’esercitazione Pitch Black 2024, insieme alla campagna operativa che Nave Giovanni delle Bande Nere sta svolgendo quest’anno conferma il contributo italiano — insieme ad altri Paesi europei — alla sicurezza e alla stabilità dell’area”. Così il Ministro Crosetto.
L'ammiraglio Paparo ha accolto con favore l'impegno dell'Italia nell'area di operazioni consistente in schieramenti operativi di alto livello, sottolineando che questa condivisione attiva degli oneri rafforza direttamente la deterrenza e consolida la nostra prontezza collettiva ad affrontare le sfide strategiche nella regione.
