Mum of 2, Megan Rimmer, spoke of terrifying scenes she witnessed in which a man was randomly attacked by a radical ahead of a demonstration in Liverpool outside of a mosque following the murder of school girls in Southport.

Megan Rimmer:

"This white guy just turns around and stabs this guy.

He just went for him with a knife.

He was ringing 999.

As soon as he said his name was Mohammad, the tone changed.

Not long after he said what his name was, he said 'sorry, can I just ask, I've just been stabbed, is there a reason I don't hear sirens?'

The guy on the phone said 'Don't take it out on me mate.'
