Is the membership too tired for a second ballot? Are the spirits dampened? Are Royal Mail Group convincing our members to turn away from the union?
Er, no.
It’s National Gate Meeting Day.
We are the CWU.
RMT will fiercely resist further attacks on unions announced by @trussliz
“If these proposals become law, there will be the biggest resistance mounted by the entire trade union movement, rivalling the general strike of 1926, the Suffragettes and Chartism.”

68% of people in poverty are in a working household. You can't claim on the one hand that 'work is the best route out of poverty' and then impose a real terms pay cut on millions of workers struggling to make ends meet during a cost of living crisis.
Imagine you’ve worked all the way through a pandemic, seen Royal Mail Group make £758m, hand £400m to shareholders and millions to senior execs then you get text this
We will now launch a second national ballot on change
This is the fight of our lives
RT if you stand with us
Royal Mail Group have tabled a list of proposals today which would rip up the terms and conditions of our members.
We must now hold a second ballot to cover us legally.
We have to meet 115,000 members across 1,500 workplaces in less than a week.
RT if you have our backs.
I want an apology.
I want my money back (fees & donations).
I want compensation for the hours I spent canvasing & campaigning.
But most of all I want @jeremycorbyn@HackneyAbbott & others who have been so badly abused to be treated with the respect they deserve.
