Justice requires not only a fair outcome, but a fair process.
New developments in the Karmelo Anthony case mark a critical turning point.

The court will hear arguments on August 19 regarding the motion to recuse the current trial judge—an issue that goes directly to the integrity of these proceedings. On August 20, the court will then consider the motion for a new trial.
If the motion to recuse is granted, a new judge will be assigned before any further steps toward a new trial are taken.

Both hearings are open to the public. Transparency matters.

Accountability matters. And we will continue to stand in the gap to ensure that Karmelo’s constitutional rights are protected at every stage.
