Oh, this is rich. Trump’s out here throwing a tantrum because judges are doing the one thing they’re supposed to do, check his power when he starts coloring outside the legal lines.
Let’s get something straight: nationwide injunctions aren’t “lunatic rulings” by “radical judges.” They’re what happens when the courts step in to say, “Hey, Mr. President, you can’t break the law just because you feel like it.” That’s called checks and balances. You might’ve heard of it, it’s in the Constitution you swore to uphold.
Trump wants you to think this is some kind of judicial coup. But what he’s really saying is: “Let me do whatever I want, to whoever I want, whenever I want, and don’t you dare get in my way.” That’s not protecting America. That’s opening the door to authoritarian rule!
And the real kicker? He says judges are the ones threatening the country. No, Don. What threatens this country is a president who thinks the law doesn’t apply to him. What threatens this country is someone who wants to deport first, ask questions never, and bulldoze through the Constitution like it’s in his way.
If we lose the rule of law, if we let one man rewrite the rules because he won an election, then what’s left? You give up one branch, and pretty soon, the rest go too. That’s how democracies die: not with a bang but with one law being broken after another.
So no, the courts aren’t the problem. They’re the last line of defense. And thank God they’re still standing.
Lost my dad to that bastard Covid this morning, three months after losing mum. If I see anyone else saying it’s just a scam, it’s about government control I won’t hold back. It’s fucking real. Rest easy Dad 💙💙
So today i’ve tested positive for Covid-19. Please stop meeting your friends and family because you think it’s getting better. The death figures may be improving but the virus is STILL very much spreading!!
Chelsea Football Club will this week begin providing 78,000 meals to the National Health Service (NHS) and charities that support the elderly and vulnerable groups. 💙
