#EALE2023 was fantabulous! I feel ecstatic with my presentation and the comments I got. Not so fantabulous was having a stranger break in my hotel room at Hotel Metropolitan Old Town and stealing my bag, taking just my wallet and leaving the bag behind, and using my bank cards.

Happened at night, while I was asleep inside the room. And hotel does not see anything wrong with it.

Hotel has no security cameras in the lobby and on my floor. Police forensics has found that door has been damaged by a tool. I catch myself thinking about how it all went and it makes me feel really scared.

@AlfredoPaloyo Also rattled. I feel violated with some stranger coming into my hotel room while I was asleep. So I am not very thrilled to be asked to pay for staying at this hotel. For this particular night and any other, for that matter.
