I'm not looking for a perfect political party. I just want a party that will put adults in charge of things who can be left unsupervised so I can get on with my life without having to worry about things that I shouldn't have to worry about. Politicians who can just manage the basics like keeping the lights on, make sure we don't run out of water, ensure the RAF has passably capable aeroplanes, and that the navy has something resembling ships. Politicians who know what agriculture is for, who won't wipe the value off my house, and won't flood the country with low IQ third worlders. People who have a baseline understanding of how things work who won't tax us into poverty or borrow into oblivion.
If I hire someone to refit my kitchen or my bathroom, or a solicitor to take care of my legal bullshit, or someone to mend the roof, I don't want to have to stand over them and give them detailed instructions. I just want to to pay them to do the job so I can get on with what I'm supposed to be doing. I want the same of my politicians, where I only have to check in on them once in a while.
I don't need them to be the same sex as me or from the same social background. I just want people with the same basic value system and the intelligence to take on a brief and make coherent decisions. They don't need to be MENSA material or rocket scientists - just people with an innate sense of curiosity who know how to identify and utilise expertise, and have the humility to know when to defer to it, and the wisdom to know when to defy it.
I know that's a tall order but these people do exist. They just tend to steer away from politics. The job of political parties is to find them, promote them and showcase them. I don't want more sycophants, apparatchiks and morons. It's not too much to ask and we should stop lowering our expectations. Demand excellence.
A tiny bee just did what chemotherapy couldn't.
Scientists in Australia discovered that honeybee venom can wipe out 100% of aggressive breast cancer cells in under 60 minutes.
And the healthy cells around them? Barely touched.
The breakthrough came from Dr. Ciara Duffy and her team at the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research, working alongside the University of Western Australia.
They tested venom drawn from 312 honeybees and bumblebees across Australia, Ireland, and England.
The target: triple-negative breast cancer and HER2-enriched breast cancer. Two of the deadliest, most stubborn forms of the disease.
The weapon: melittin. The same tiny peptide that makes a bee sting burn.
At one specific dose, melittin tore through cancer cell membranes completely within an hour. Within just 20 minutes, it shut down the chemical signals cancer cells need to grow and multiply.
Bumblebee venom, which lacks melittin, did nothing. Zero effect, even at high concentrations.
Scientists then recreated melittin synthetically in the lab and got almost identical results, meaning no bees need to be harmed to develop the therapy.
Published in the peer-reviewed journal npj Precision Oncology, the findings are still early-stage. Human trials haven't happened yet.
But one thing is clear. Nature has been hiding answers in plain sight all along, sometimes inside the smallest creatures on Earth.

๐จ Here is the full 40 minutes of my crew and I exposing California fraud, Minnesota was big but California is even bigger... We uncovered over $170,000,000 in fraud as these fraudsters live in luxury with no consequences. Like it and share it, the fraud must STOP.
We ALL work way too hard and pay too much in taxes for this to be happening. These fraudsters have been able to defraud American taxpayers for years without any pushback from the public and politicians.
It is time to EXPOSE IT ALL and end America's fraud crisis.
@misaligned_agi@Coinvo There is no tape. He said the files contain thousands of allegations, made to the authorities. (The paperwork) These are easily found in the files if you search 'Trump'. It gives all details dates, transcript, actions and most importantly why not a single one of them was actioned
@USAmbUK@Telegraph Items for consideration before investing a penny into th UK.......unreasonabl energy costs, net zero/green deal nonsense, two tier policing, free speech policing, unsustainable refugee intake, lack of housing, fair pricing for farmers, NHS overhaul, prison overhaul etc etc
