I’m always curious whenever palace maids in Korean historical dramas fall to the floor crying “Jeonha, jugyeo juseopsoseo” 😭😭 like “Your Majesty, please ki!! us” over every little mistake.
Was Korean culture really that intense back then or is it just the dramas being extra? 😂
I wanted to watch the "Story of Yanxi Palace", then I noticed it’s one of those Cdramas where all the male characters’ hairlines start from the back of their head.😩
Jeses!! I’m out.
The difficult period for drama broadcast on both Tencent and iQIYI.
From the end of April, Tencent announced it would cease its partnership with Douyin and switch to Kuaishou (a rival short-video platform to Douyin in China). This resulted in dramas broadcast on Tencent having limited access on Douyin. However, iQIYI is currently also involved in a lawsuit with Kuaishou.
Kuaishou account of drama #InTheMoonlight opened by the crew was later locked. On Douyin, interaction has been quite low these past few days, with only one video reaching 25K likes, while the rest haven't even gotten 10K. For dramas which main leads aren't top traffic actors and can't generate interaction on their own, access restrictions on Douyin can have a huge impact for them and drama.
