It’s all going to end, very soon, enjoy it.
“At your funeral, your friends and family will argue over who gets what.
People will want food to eat.
The topic will shift from your life to their lives.
They’ll drive away thinking about their looming to-do list.
Some people won’t be able to make it because ‘something came up’
And we worry about…a low performing post on social media.
Or what someone “thinks of us”.
Or a bad customer review.
Or whether we’re going to finish our to do list in time.
We die like we go to sleep.
With things unsaid and unfinished.
The only judge who has complete context on our lives, dies with us.
A reminder of the heavy weight we place on things that matter little.”

I'm 37. Instead of regretting that I can't wake up age 18 again, I pretend to myself that I'm 90 and I've woken up age 37 again, and that I get to magically, wonderfully have the next 50 years again.
In 2001, after chemical waste poisoned his village, Chinese farmer Wang Enlin dedicated 16 years to self-educating in law, meticulously copying legal texts by hand, and ultimately secured a historic victory in a lawsuit against a multi-billion-dollar state-owned company.
Two questions to think about.
If we were making a movie about your life, what would the key scenes so far be?
And if people were watching up to this point, what would the audience be screaming at the screen telling you to do with your life?
When you're old, you'll think of today as the good ol' days...
But not because they're better, but because in retrospect we exaggerate the good and forget the bad.
And if you're gonna do that eventually, you might as well do it today.
It’s the biggest pitch meeting of my life. I write “Karate Kid” on the white board. Then I stare the executives down for ten entire seconds in silence before I erase “Kid” and write “Adult.”
