Why hello! I'll be teaching a graphic novel class at the @DFWCON in Oct! Yay! Can't wait to dig deep into some interesting art/lit concepts! Basic premise, though, is words + art = fun!
Hurray! TexArcana is out in the world today! TexArcana is an anthology of fantasy stories set in Texas, including three written by me! Edited by the talented Alexis Lantgen of @LunarianPress, find TexArcana on Amazon & B&N.
@Mark_Gottlieb My critique group hosts this one, Mark! We're in the early planning stages for next year, but it's always a great time. :) https://t.co/1u8LiVtBbe
I'll also be on a few panels, and I can't wait to enjoy the rest of the convention as well. I'm reading Dave Eggers' The Eyes and the Impossible with my youngest kid right now. We are both enthralled. So good. https://t.co/a0boQKDFyY
I've been quiet on socials lately (working hard on my graphic novel!) But I'm delighted to say I'll be at @DFWCON! I'll be teaching a class about the illustration process, how we artists are hired & how to make amazing books with us! :)
The Nimona movie gets five stars from my family. 4/5 of us had read the graphic novel (some of us many times) so we were excited to see it!!! Highly recommend it.
I would love some cozy, not intense Switch game recommendations. I've enjoyed playing through Spiritfarer and Ooblets recently. Maybe something along those lines? I always appreciate a game with pretty art too.
When my kids were small, there was a time when it seemed like everyone I knew was working on glamorous films & amazing books, while I was cleaning highchairs & changing diapers x 1000. I unfollowed many people for a while & it really helped my mental health. It's ok to step back.
