For survivors of torture, access to housing impacts healing. That’s where the partnership between CVT’s St. Paul Healing Center & @sarahsoasis is so important for women clients who have survived torture. Sarah’s offers ongoing supportive housing, while at the same time clinicians at CVT’s center provide clinical care: both help clients as they rebuild their lives. Jill Davidson, CVT social services lead, said, “With a room at Sarah’s, a client can focus on her health and make progress toward her goals, things like meeting with her asylum attorney, focusing on her health and medical needs, focusing on employment & gaining independence.”
