I just bought a game where the only things AI generated was the localisations, which I'm personally fine with.

Forcing the few devs who use gen AI for assets os the path of least resistance.

But yes, I do actually want to stigmatise giant corporations wasting electricity in order to do a quarter-baked "replacement" of actual art, whether that's images, videos, sound files, 3D models, or anything else.

@TheoTheFurry_ @RizoaOfficial In a tiny form factor with as low a noise floor as the Steam Machine has, you kinda have to get at least semi-custom with most things. It's living room centric. It's what Valve is targeting. And nobody is forcing you to buy it.

@TheoTheFurry_ @RizoaOfficial It's a living room centric device, it's not made to extract as much performance as possible from all the money you pour into it. Semi-custom hardware is expensive on its own, plus all the AI fuckery in the industry, and it's as cheap as it can reasonably get.
