🌍 27 countries have submitted #NDCs
📊 New insights from @WRIClimate & #ClimateWatch highlight the importance of the 2025 NDC cycle and the significant gap that remains to limit warming to 1.5 °C or 2 °C.

9years ago today Jo was murdered. I think about her every single day and am lucky to have so many wonderful memories, but the pain never goes. Whatever our views we must never normalise abuse, threats, intimidation and political violence #JoCox#Sisters#MoreInCommon
Next week it is time to #ShowYourStripes again.
We encourage everyone to download their Warming Stripes graphics and use them to start climate conversations on Friday 20th & Saturday 21st June.

President @LulaOficial and I just met with a group of world leaders committed to tackling the climate crisis together.
It was among the most diverse meetings of heads of state focused exclusively on climate in some time. Yet I heard a unifying message:
Our world faces a multitude of crises, but we cannot allow climate commitments to be blown off course.
Dissenters & fossil fuel interests may try to stand in the way.
But the world is moving forward.
Full-speed ahead.

The creation of the UN was the result of a global commitment to “save succeeding generations from the scourge of war."
80 years later, the UN remains essential for advancing peace, prosperity & human rights.

Punchy stuff from Ed Miliband to the Environmental Audit Committee this afternoon on the fracturing of the political consensus on climate action and the need for supporters of net zero to join the fight for it. https://t.co/9dLk4g90Pa
More poorly informed takes on climate from @RestIsPolitics
Rory Stewart says climate finance for developing countries is "completely the wrong way" to "stop global warming".
Instead G20 should have met for a couple more days to "try to crack this".
A few problems with this...
@PollyBLabour @ClaireCoutinho I think Ian Hislop said it best (referring to another Conservative) in HIGNFY recently, “That would mean she would have to remember that and apply it to today"
🚨 My new working paper is out.
The Brazilian Government has adopted a mission-oriented approach to its industrial strategy (Nova Indústria Brasil). The question now is how the government can design symbiotic (not parasitic) partnerships with businesses in Brazil to tackle these missions together.
