Here's my 8.5 hour conversation with @elonmusk & @neuralink team.
It is the longest podcast I've ever done! 🤯 It's a fascinating, super technical, and wide-ranging conversation.
It's here on X & everywhere else, including YouTube: https://t.co/0kYbFNj2Su
On X, it's split up into 3 parts (in replies to this post) due to the current 4 hour limit for video. I continue to push the X engineering team to increase the limit... up it to 10 hours let's go! 🤣
Thank you to Elon Musk, DJ Seo, Matthew MacDougall, and Bliss Chapman who are part of the amazing Neuralink team: @elonmusk, @djseo_, @matthewmacdoug4, and @chapman_bliss.
And thank you to Noland Arbaugh (@ModdedQuad) who is the first human to have a Neuralink device implanted in his brain.

Common causes of bad decisions:
1. Not asking, “& then what?”
2. Blindness to large trends (blind spots)
3. Assumptions based on small sample sizes
4. Conforming to expectations/authority/group
5. Wanting the world to work the way we want rather than the way it does
6. COMPROMISE
Founders/CEOs must watch this @lexfridman interview with Jeff. I found myself vigorously nodding along in a few key parts — here's one of my favorites: why compromise is a horrible (albeit very tempting) way to make decisions in a business.
I regularly use these AIs:
- GPT 4/4o - programming, learning, planning
- Grok - learning, news, fun, free speech
- Gemini 1.5 - working w/ huge text
- Claude 3 - natural-sounding convos
- Perplexity - for deep-dive research on topics
Problems arise when we start compromising our own standards, those we have set for ourselves, in order to earn the admiration of others. Problems come when we choose to focus on what others think and see versus reality.

This blog & newsletter is my effort to craft a new playbook for life & marketing.
It’ll be for people who need new ways of projecting signal through noise and gaining the most freedom with the least amount of wasted effort in a totally chaotic world.

A lot of people don’t do well simply because they major in minor things.
One of the most critical skills in life--and yet never taught in school--is choosing where to direct your attention.
I created this website because I’ve seen how life changing the art of knowing exactly what to focus and what to ignore has been for me and wanted other people to have the same opportunity.
