Last night's earthquake, though. Protip: use the Yahoo 防災速報 app! It's the only one that alerts me with consistency (sometimes more than needed, but i'm ok with that). Don't forget to give it access to override your silent mode, too!

@niffyat I continued with my job in the states remotely and came on an ancestry visa. It was a long process, but gave us a lot of freedom once we got here. Freedom also = no help with the paperwork/process/apt hunt upon arrival, so that was a little rough.

@ryankanno @chrisota I thought i'd never get over the texture. Hate slimy things. I'm honestly still kind of surprised I ended up getting used to it. 😂

@ryankanno @chrisota Haha yeah. I did the ume flavor + shiso paste + green onions. Ate with korean nori sometimes, too. LOL. Then slowly took the green onions and shiso out. Took about 6 months, but it's pretty normal now.

Looks like online grocery delivery is getting popular again (up until a few days ago it was open for same day/next day whenever I was looking). Not as bad as in April, had to login super early in the am to get a spot.
