@Laymens_terms@heynavtoor This is how I wrote a paper in a small college classroom. My professor still accused me of cheating. Nuerodivergence doing its thing...and professors doing theirs. Haha.
Keep posting this so people don’t forget how truly bad this event was.
Don’t let people gaslight you into thinking it was peaceful and worthy of 1500+ pardons and slush fund payoffs.
Do I have this right? While planes were crashing, air traffic controllers and TSA not getting paid, airport lines in chaos, airlines going bankrupt, and gas prices exploding, our Transportation Secretary was on a SEVEN MONTH LONG roadtrip with his family filming a reality show?
Jesus said “blessed are the peacemakers.”
Not the warmongers.
Not the authoritarians.
Not those who see their religion as a battle against “the world.”
Jesus said “blessed are the peacemakers.”
Wherever peace is chosen instead of violence, there are the children of God.
The media moved on like nothing happened.
A sitting congressman, Ted Lieu, said on the record the Epstein files are being blocked because they show Trump raped and threatened to kill children.
Keep sharing this so it doesn’t get buried.
It actually bums me out…
We have the resources to fix our society, stop our reliance on fossil fuels, and feed every person in the country.
But we don’t… because it would mess with the money of a tiny group of people.
Like… millions struggle so a handful can stay comfortable.
That’s insane when you really think about it.
It needs to be said…
This is not just a sickness of the mind.
It is also a sickness of the Spirit.
Donald Trump needs Jesus.
And we need every person who loves Jesus to stop acting like this is okay.
It’s not okay. It is sinful, deranged, and very unChristlike.
Follow Christ. Not Trump.
Your literature teacher who wore hoop earrings and made you read Beowulf and Gatsby and marched in protests and taught you to question authority and said too much TV would turn your brain into soup had it exactly right.
As I head out to preach on this Holy Day, I am humbled by Jesus’s path to the cross. His unwavering commitment to our wholeness and salvation.
But, beloved, please understand:
Nobody deserved to be on that cross.
We do not need to cosign the brutality of the empire.
I’m sharing it again. Out of all of my favorite Trent McDuffie memories, my favorite will always be shutting down Ja’Marr Chase and having him crash out so much that he drew a flag for unsportsmanlike conduct with the chillest ref in the NFL
@emilykmay I'm so grateful my pediatrician answered my questions, like she always does! 🙏❤️ No shame, no fear. Just facts and compassion. It resulted in 3 fully vaccinated kids and a trusting mom! 🙌
@Forbes I take issue with the opinion expressed here...my economics professors have LOTS of data that women regularly invest more in their communities - in nearly every corner of the world, in nearly every culture. Put a $1 in the hands of a woman, and your community will benefit.
🚨BREAKING: ICE/Border Patrol agents pulled guns on a car full of legal observers, saying they needed to “ID” them TODAY, because agents claim they had guns YESTERDAY.
Read that again.
Agents openly admit this stop had nothing to do with anything happening now, but with something they claim happened the day before.
That sounds a lot like U.S. citizens being stopped and detained for exercising their First Amendment rights, while agents catalog people they believe exercise their Second Amendment rights, into their database.
A database that, allegedly, included Alex Pretti.
In the video, agents surround a car of U.S. citizens who were legally observing law enforcement activity this morning in Minneapolis.
Multiple agents have their weapons drawn… guns turned sideways… pointed directly at a car full of U.S. citizens, ordering everyone out of the vehicle.
Not just the driver.
Every single person in the car, including people in the back seat.
This was a full-vehicle detention of legal observers, at gunpoint, with no immediate threat, and no lawful basis.
That alone is an excessive and illegal use of force.
The agents then demand that the people filming produce press credentials, further confirming that agents are illegally denying people their First Amendment rights to observe and record law enforcement activity…
Because press credentials are not required to film police.
They never have been.
And then, at the very end of the video, the justification for the illegal detainment finally slips out.
An agent admits the stop happened because YESTERDAY they claim these same people “threatened” agents with handguns.
Then the agent’s story changes…
The agent says, “they pulled them out, trying to engage us.”
A member of the press asks, “Pulling out literal guns?”
Then agent’s story changes AGAIN…
“No. Assuming that we were going to do something.”
So, no guns were actually pulled, and no threats were actually made.
The “threat” was that people disclosed they were armed… which is exactly what concealed carry holders are trained to do when law enforcement engages with you.
And then the agent finally admits what this stop is really about.
Saying, “That’s why they are being IDed right now.”
So TODAY, agents illegally stopped a car full of legal observers, at gunpoint, to illegally identify and catalog U.S. citizens…
Because YESTERDAY, those citizens lawfully exercised their Second Amendment rights.
If this doesn’t set off blaring alarm bells for the NRA and anyone who claims to be “pro–Second Amendment,” nothing should.
ICE/Border Patrol agents just used guns, intimidation, and an illegal detention to punish U.S. citizens, after the fact, for lawful gun ownership.
That is government retaliation.
And it’s exactly what the Second Amendment was supposed to protect people from.
Rahman: On January 13th, on the way to my 39th appointment at the traumatic brain injury center, I encountered a traffic jam caused by ICE vehicles and no signs indicating how to get around it. I had not wanted to pull into a block to chaotic intersection but verbally agreed to do so and rolled down my window after an agent yelled, "Move, I will break your f'ing window."
There were conflicting threats and instructions that I could not process while watching for pedestrians. Then the glass of the passenger side window flew across my face. I yelled, "I am disabled!," at the hands grabbing at me and the agent said, "Too late."
An agent pulled a large combat knife in front of my face. Which I thought was for cutting me. And later learned was used to cut off my seatbelt. Shooting pain went through my head, neck and wrists when I hit the ground face first and people leaned on my back.
I was carried facedown through the street by my cuffed arms and legs while yelling that I had a brain injury and was disabled.
In times like these, we must choose words carefully.
So with the arrest of reporter Don Lemon, I'll be thoughtful about what I say next. Trump is clearly abusing power to punish dissent and silence reporters.
And the only right word I can find to describe it is: FASCIST.
Remember this day -- when Trump's attorney general ordered the arrest of a journalist. Journalism is not a crime. Speech Donald Trump doesn't like committed by people he doesn't like is not illegal.
