why aren’t the robots working in the mines and oil fields and handling toxic chemicals or picking plastic out of the ocean? why are they writing emails and making powerpoint presentations? what the hell are we doing

In every single flight I have ever taken, all the pilots and cabin crew announce their names. Yet somehow nobody wants to reveal the name of the Omani pilot of Flydubai who perpetrated such a horrific crime.

Meanwhile all other names are all over the media.

[Shiv Aroor @ShivAroor]

Nice how the terrorist co-pilot’s name and identity are being protected.

[Aditya Raj Kaul @AdityaRajKaul]

Why haven’t Saudi Arabia and UAE revealed the name of the Omani Co-Pilot?

#WATCH | While speaking to PM Modi, Flydubai Captain Smit Machchhar says, "Whenever I am in pain, I recite Hanuman Chalisa. At that time too, I only kept reciting the Hanuman Chalisa...Today, one call from you makes me feel really proud..."

A girl did photoshoot on a stopped van:

Rahul Gandhi called her on stage
Dimple Yadav hugged her
Uddhav Thackeray gave her award
Supriya Sule met her
Arfa called her

Meanwhile, a brave Indian pilot saved 174 lives & not a single Opposition leader has even tweeted about it

Anything that elevates India on the global stage, the Opposition seems unable to digest as if they simply do not love the country

Captain Smit Machchhar is a HERO.

In the face of the gravest danger and despite being seriously injured, he showed immense courage and an unwavering resolve to protect the lives of others.

His valour helped save hundreds of lives and avert a great tragedy.

India is proud of Captain Machchhar.

Praying for his speedy recovery, renewed strength and good health.

[Benjamin Netanyahu - בנימין נתניהו @netanyahu]

My salute to the Indian pilot Captain Smit Machchhar for his extraordinary bravery.

Despite being stabbed and seriously injured, he fought back, resisted, opened the cockpit door, and enabled passengers and crew to overpower the attacker — preventing a catastrophic mid-air disaster.

He saved the lives of 174 people, including Israeli citizens and other nationals.

I wish Captain Machchhar a speedy and full recovery.

He is a true hero.

🇮🇳 REMEMBER THIS MAN: CAPTAIN SMIT MACHCHHAR.

An Indian captain flying hundreds of people from Dubai to Tel Aviv was stabbed in his own cockpit.

Wounded, bleeding, with the aircraft plunging thousands of feet, he fought back.

Then passengers and crew did something extraordinary:

They stormed the cockpit.
They restrained the attacker.
Other pilots took control.
And that plane LANDED.

Hundreds of families got their loved ones back today because ordinary people refused to freeze when everything went wrong.

Captain Smit Machchhar — India and the whole WORLD should be proud of you. 🇮🇳

And to the passengers and crew who ran toward the danger instead of away from it:

Heroes. Every single one of you.

This is what courage looks like.

[Gabbar @GabbbarSingh]

The situation was quite like 9/11.

Terrorist trained to be a pilot, looks for an opportunity to enter the cockpit, and then kill the captain to eventually take control of the plane & crash it.

This plan was even more foolproof. The terrorist was the co-pilot, no need of announcing a hijack, had an axe instead of a box-cutter, and just had to neutralise one pilot instead of two.

Imagine the bravery of the Indian pilot, who was relentlessly being attacked by an axe, yet managed to relay the signal of a hi jack. And MOST IMPORTANTLY opened the cockpit door so that others can enter. Saved 100+ lives.

The Gujarati pilot, Smit deserves the biggest bravery award. 🙏

Glad it changed. My mom would be perpetually in the kitchen cooking or making coffee/snacks for someone or the other at all possible times. This people arriving unannounced was a burden on women. Men would happily sit and chatter away.

TV actors aren't leaving a single chance to show Swara Bhaskar her real place 🚨

Karan - I've not seen your work, but I've seen you in some controversies

Swara - You would've become my fan then

Karan - Not really. I really feel pity for people like you who have to diss their own people just for bread and butter

Swara - Koi nahi. People realise facts slowly

Karan - Facts? Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj's eyes were gouged out, he was tortured for days. Aurangzeb asked him to accept Islam. He roared, Not even if you offer your daughter to me. That's how we survived. We can't compromise our principles like you, who don't even understand our lineage

Swara - It would be better if Indians think about building schools instead of all this

Karan - People who celebrate the Indira Gandhi Memorial made on 45 acres and hate the Ram Mandir made on 2 acres shouldn't lecture others

He literally ate and left no crumbs. All these brave Hindus will make sure Swara leaves this show crying 🙏

There is something called OPEN CATEGORY that means every category can apply for it.

Despite decades of reservation, if you still can't get a job.

Then maybe reservation is NOT the answer.

[Mr Sinha @Mrsinha]

Just because it's not India, people find it cute, aesthetic and funny.

Had it been India, the same people would have been mocking it.

[Vedvrat @I_am_Vedvrat]

I'd really really really like @isro to issue a clarification on this claim.

Are we really hiring people who don't even have a degree yet to LEAD teams in space programs? Really?

[पाकीट तज्ञ @paakittadnya]

"Sahil was a bright student. He had a job offer from ISRO to lead a team of 50 people."
- His Father.

Sahil was in second year. It would take him 2+ years to pass and join. I don't know a single organization which plans this advance for recruitment.

A MUST READ 📚
The director of IIT Bombay has resigned, but this conversation has shaken the education system!!

Student - Sir, you don't even know how much pressure a student faces.

Shirish Kedare - Okay, so should we make cheating legal for you people? So that you don't face pressure?

We are told to create papers for those students who are capable of studying. Those students who have come to IIT with an 80% percentile.

Just because some of you have come with a 30% percentile,

We can't make the papers so easy for other students.

Student - Sir, you are still showing shamelessness.
It was all your fault.

Shirish Kedare - I am resigning because I also had some mistakes.

But whoever among you has ever cheated, they should leave IIT now.

I will also ask the watchman to resign because he couldn't check the mobile phone in someone's pants.

Parents all over the world should also resign from their parenting responsibilities if they can't raise a child who can read and write.
The student was afraid of them, not us.

Your parents should be ashamed that they sent you to IIT, when you are not even capable of passing a single exam of IIT.

Sir really silenced this student.
He resigned, but also showed the world how bad the education system is.
A lot of respect.
