Agent-turned-editor, founder of Sara Sciuto Literary Services, world traveler, general enthusiast. Works on all #kidlit (#pb/#illustration, #mg, and #ya!).
I'm officially back from maternity leave! If you've been thinking about getting a little help with your #pb, #MG, or #ya project before submitting to agents (or if you've been subbing for A WHILE)—contact me! Learn more about my critique services here: https://t.co/LULZr75r5S
FYI, I only take on critique projects if I feel the core concept has market potential. Case in point, I passed on more critique inquires than I took on this week…. SO, if you're not sure if a critique is right for u, shoot me an email and I really will give u an honest opinion!
Coming back from maternity leave isn't the easiest thing, but I have to say, I'm so jazzed to be digging into projects again. The creativity I'm seeing from so many yet-to-be-published authors is truly reinvigorating! #amediting
Not totally sure what "character voice" is? Has an agent/editor/critique partner ever said they weren't connecting with your character? If you've answered "yes" you can check out my post to learn ALL about character voice, and how to cultivate yours! … https://t.co/jnCF9RbZ9R
My maternity leave ends this week! If you’ve been waiting to get a critique service from me, you can send off that inquiry email now! I’ll be responding to all emails after 4/12, in the order they were received....
Feel free to get your inquiry emails in now, if you’re ready. I’ll be responding to all emails after I return (on 4/12) in the order they were received.
Maternity leave is almost over and my return date is set! I'll be re-opening for all critique services beginning Thursday, April 12th! You can learn more about my editorial services here: https://t.co/LULZr75r5S
Another thing to keep in mind: if you're writing a teen character, their parents are prob Gen X. Your middle schooler character's parents may actually be Millennials (born starting 1981!) Calibrate parent characters' attitudes/personalities accordingly. #writetip
